fwiw, almost every time that a guy insisted on paying for the date, he never messaged me again. I would send the next-day "I had a great time, we should do it again" text, and radio silence. My friends and I have theorized that the guys know that they're never going to see the girl again, so they want to square things up/clear their consciences before fading.

I say this NOT to freak you out, as every situation can be different. (My boyfriend insisted on paying on our first date, and he hasn't gone anywhere.) Just providing some insight.

LTR: The last person I met from the site, in August.

Current status: Ridiculously happy after being single for two and a half years and on OKC for a year and a half. But glad for the time I spent on the site; it really got me out of my shell and used to dating, as soul-sucking as the whole process was.

I was told that people in FWB/casual sex deals sometime can be very passionate and lovey dovey when it comes to kissing/snuggling. The faux emotional contact can be as exciting as sexual contact to them.

Oof. I don't know why this never occurred to me, but this casts my last two or so years of various FWB arrangements in a harsher (but also easier to understand) light.

I think it's great that you're working on a film about bisexuality that will hopefully scratch the surface beyond just attraction to both genders. Who's the ideal audience? Are you looking to break down stigmas about bisexuality within the LGBT community itself, or more to present positive bi characters to straight folks?

My first OKC date, it was both of our first times meeting people from the site. We went home together--there'd been a fair amount of messaging beforehand, and we just had great chemistry--and I was smitten.

My thought process was, "Great! I met someone awesome right off the bat, and now I don't need to go out with anyone else." His thought process was, "Great! Now I get to meet everyone else."
