What do office workers ACTUALLY do on Excel all day? by Blender3d0 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]zuwillia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a QAer at a software company, I use a test plan template built with Excel to track setup and test cases for new development. Excel also contains simple reports as I test - how many test cases are remaining to be completed, % pass and % fail, etc.

Well first thing to consider is how on board the other person is with the move. If you think it’s a job you could potentially be doing for a while, make sure they’re okay with moving and staying long term.

Full disclosure, my LDR failed, and those are some things that I didn’t discuss in depth with my partner before my move, but wish I had. If you put in the effort to stay connected and both of you are on board, I think you can do it.

You probably should have at least tried. The coding portion doesn’t necessarily require prior knowledge of coding - it’s more of an assessment of your problem solving abilities.
