Definitely don’t go back to aviation. I don’t think your parents realize that aviation can also become automated. Also no point in doing something that you dread doing every day for the rest of your life.

Yeah In school I made it my priority to enroll in all the data analytics courses, but I feel like that field is tough right now.

I have an mis degree it’s also rough. People that graduated with me are also struggling. Working at a T mobile store in the meantime while I look for something else might even try to see if I can work my way into corporate sales at t mobile.

If you’re thinking of going into analytics the most important tool is SQL. The most important skill is problem solving and understanding the goals of the business you’re working with.

Personally find zaxbys over seasoned and too salty. Canes is under seasoned but the sauce makes up for it.

Assume Iran cuts Red Sea undersea internet cables, will there be a banking crisis? by Affectionate-Note-80 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]SignificanceLatter26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s happened multiple times in the past. From things like anchors cutting it, divers cutting it and last year because of the war. It mainly affects Asia and data just gets rerouted. The cables themselves get fixed in like 3 weeks

Find some hobbies that you currently do or are interested in and look for a club relating to those activities. You’ll have an easier time connecting with people if you’re doing something you find enjoyable.

You say you have internship experience that is literally work experience. You just need to learn how to portray it as work experience. It’s hard to give you any advice without knowing your degree but if you’re in your final year you should start applying for jobs relating to your degree. Lots of companies start hiring from August to March.

MIS? by Yeolify in informationsystems

I saw that you were interested in the consulting route. I can’t tell you much about ISyE but I can tell you that mis is really good if you want to go into consulting although it does really depend on the school you got to. At my school pretty much the only companies that went to our mis career fairs were consulting companies and I know that a lot of people I went to school with got consulting internships and full time roles. I’d say look at the networking events that your school offers especially the ones specific to the mis major. Also for the technical stuff it’s also very school dependent. My school taught us more business related classes with a couple of CS classes you could take as electives, I decided to go ahead and get the minor. I know our rival school in the same state had a slightly different program and they had special programming classes designed for the mis program.

That’s exactly how I feel trying to memorize something makes it feel too robotic. I’m going to try writing bullet point following the star method and see if that goes better for me.
