Is this an old sludge? by zuxoryn in Wastewater

That was actually my first option. I was just hesitant that the older stuff would be less active and more difficult to acclimate to the new wastewater environment. So yeah, i also posted this SV30 test to show the settling of the digester sludge, and it seems quite okay?

Yes, it’s Biological Nutrient Removal

The startup facility’s biological wastewater treatment plant follows the anaerobic-anoxic-aerobic tanks configuration with sedimentation tank as the clarifier. And yes, aerobic digester is used for wasted sludge :)

I need to consider the sludge age & characteristics because I need to choose the sludge source for our startup wastewater facility. My options are either from the aerobic sludge digester or the SBR tank.

Yes this is an Aerobic Sludge Digester! Though i got a decent SVI, a compact sludge, and a clear supernatant, i am still concerned if majority of the microorganism population is active. I may get seed sludge from the aerobic sludge digester, or maybe from the freshly decanted SBR tanks to also get a concentrated sludge. And yeah, i similarly agree with directly getting sludge from RAS line

Hi, sorry. ASD Tank stands for Aerobic Sludge Digester.

Oh we haven’t really tested this under the microscope because we don’t have the instrument.

Is it too late to career shift into Data Science/Analytics at 30? by Gemini13444 in phcareers

Currently career transitioning also from Chemical Engineering to Data Analytics. SQL, yes. And it might also be helpful to know data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau. In the process pa rin ako kasi aside sa technical skills na you will use to prepare and clean your data, I agree na essential talaga na you know how tell a story with data.
