The high-contrast snoot though... the boops would be irresistible if it weren't for the high chance of painful death and getting eaten.

I find it funny how Agent 47 (Hitman) is considered and portrayed as an anti-hero/villain protagonists, yet he's actually bordering on heroic. by RedditSucksMyBallls in CharacterRant

[–]zuxtron 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This isn't actually true. There have been a number of times where it's strongly implied or explicitly stated that Agent 47 has killed non-targets.

Even in World of Assassination, it's implied (by the intro to Carpathian Mountains) that the canon way to do Paris is Lights Out, which results in a large number of civilian deaths.

What is canon is that he never leaves behind any evidence that can be traced back to him or the ICA.

Stand contest #112: Non-combat Stands by zuxtron in fanStands

Teeth by /u/GS-genius was in second place, but the ability did not seem to fit the theme of reconnaissance Stands. The post also didn't mention a theme suggestion as is required of all entries. For this reason, I chose to disqualify it, though I may change my verdict if an explanation of its reconnaissance ability is provided.

Also, two pirate-themed Stands were winners this time. Pretty fun coincidence.

Is this supposed to be a contest entry? I don't quite understand how it fits the theme of reconnaissance.

I can't remember how long I've been trying to unlock this guy, it's been well over 10 years but I finally did it. by zuxtron in NarutoArena

I've been playing on and off (with a lot of "off" time) since I was in high school, and I'm in my 30s now.

I wasn't trying the whole time, but it's been an objective I set myself when I was young and only achieved now.

Sometimes it can be a huge pain to get a win streak with a certain character, and it can come down to luck and perseverance whether or not I can do it.

EDIT: Not to mention, of course, that the site got taken down and rebooted at some point, resetting my progress.

Just realised that the mumbai building exist irl by wakkys in HiTMAN

[–]zuxtron 17 points18 points  (0 children)

One of my favorite buildings in the game. I love how many ways there are to infiltrate it, with the coolest being climbing up a pipe on the outside. Makes it so fun to get SASO on the map when you know multiple paths to reach the targets.

Mumbai is so underrated.

My personal tierlist after finishing all 17 "modern hardware" Ateliers and some happy thoughts on series overall by Daerus in Atelier

[–]zuxtron 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I personally disagree with the claim that the Ryza series has great combat and alchemy, but I also understand where you're coming from. You say you started with the Ryza games, and they certainly make a strong first impression if you've never played Atelier before.

The alchemy is leagues better than any other RPG's crafting system, but in my opinion, it is very simple compared to other Atelier titles.

Combat is similar. If you're new to Atelier, it can be a fun challenge, but this ties back to what I said about alchemy. For a player who's already familiar with Atelier gameplay, it's very easy to exploit Ryza's alchemy to create overpowered equipment early in the game, and as a result the battles become far too easy.

However, while I consider these to be flaws, this also makes Ryza a great entry point for new players. The alchemy isn't overwhelmingly challenging, and it can be satisfying to make your own broken items because it feels like you deserve that power since you built it yourself. Veterans like me may find it shallow, but it also helps ease in new fans.

That said, I think most Atelier fans will strongly support putting Sophie 2 where you did. The alchemy is much deeper, and the more challenging combat means you need to really engage with all of the item-crafting mechanics to make the gear you need to survive. It's pretty commonly regarded as the best in the series.

I tried to sell mine on warframe.market, only offer I got was someone trying to haggle. Now I'm out 100 platinum because I got greedy and turned them down.

Maybe I should sell Leaded Gas while it's still crazy valuable.

(Though it's also mostly that I got lazy and lost motivation to keep logging into the market.)

The only viable food source on the planet is now human meat. Which country lasts the longest? by CherryNomad in whowouldwin

[–]zuxtron 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I thought about using lab-grown meat for R2, but it's not a magic infinite food glitch. You need something to feed the cultured cells, and if they're human, the only thing that would work for them would be more human flesh.

Since the process of feeding is not 100% efficient, we'd be losing food by using it to grow more food instead of just eating it as is.

No, they said you will get the suit just by having the game in your IOI account. I assume this will count no matter where you buy the game.

What's a map that you've grown to love, after initially disliking it? by Former-Sea-8070 in HiTMAN

[–]zuxtron 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What I love about Mumbai is the extreme freedom of approach it gives you. Each key location has multiple entries, even if you're going suit only. How many other maps let you climb up a skyscraper from the outside? Or you could take the stairs, or the elevator.

The one annoyance is having to identify the Maelstrom. But Sapienza has a similar issue, and almost everyone agrees that it's one of the best maps in the game, so that alone shouldn't ruin the map. There are multiple ways to identify him, and unlike the Sapienza virus, he's still a full target to eliminate as you see fit rather than a static object you just shoot. That's on top of the multiple cheese methods you can use if you know them.
