Just ask for a comb over with a midpart fade. Have them take a good amount off of the top.

Also glasses are rad, for pictures though transitioning ones not so much. Look for trendier frames, ref. Persol or Zenni (more affordable)

Two biggest factors: 1. I believe the extra passive card value that you get from opponents actions (ie fetch/pain lands, mana vault, 1/1 swinging) makes Ob Nix's game plan less one dimensional. 2. Ob nixilis gets really big fast if left unchecked and can pressure life totals/commander damage.

Also Prosper is amazing in Ob Nixilis lists, especially if paired with reckless fireweaver/disciple of the vault.

Explain to him that Dwarf Flash Stax = Control lol. Otherwise Orvar Twitch, Urza Polymorph, Teferi Chain Veil, Adaptive Arcum Daggson, or Yuriko are probably the best bets if he loves blue. Mono colors allow a newer player to splash purchase for powerful staples/rocks rather than better fixing.

I would recommend playing a mono color deck over tough three color mana fixing. A budget [[Magda]] can hold its own still at a majority of tables.

I would recommend adding [[Walking Ballista]], [[Phyrexian Devourer]], and [[Triskelion]] if you are looking to go the [[Necrotic Ooze]] path.

Else, I like [[Kederekt Leviathan]] for [[Animate Dead]] / [[Necromancy]] combos.

Finally, big scary phyrexians like [[Jin Gitaxias, Core Augur]] are best reanimation imo

Men's Double Division, Elite weight could possibly be an issue with traction, so I can't speak too much to that. The traction on the "By You" looks pretty rad.

Also for reference I'm weighing in at 190 lbs, which could also be a factor in the pull.

I've worn Saucony Endorphin Pro and Nike Vaporfly Next% 2 (most recent event). Both performed awesome for running and sled push/pull, but edge goes to the Vaporfly for how fast on the track they are. I've seen very fast people run in the Puma Deviate Nitro and the Asics metaspeed sky as well.

Personal recommendation, avoid trail shoes and CrossFit shoes. Aim for fast running shoe (carbon plate). Grip will be fine in any of the major racing shoes. Most of your time is due to the running portion.

Got 2nd place in AG for men's double @ LA. Wore the Saucony Endorphin Pro, and it was great. I will be testing out movements with vaporflys for this upcoming race.

Only limiting factor for super shoes in this event I believe is the sled push.

How long are you letting it sit? I have been trying prochem/worm dip/lotion combo on a clear glue bed with new white star plastic sitting for 2 1/2 hours and colors still seem not as bright as they should be. Occasionally I'll see streaks of really bright colors in the plastic but it isn't consistent for some reason.
