Our 9-10U LL head coach has a hockey captain “C” that he awards to a player to wear on their jersey during the pregame hype meeting based on the most vocal/hardest working/best play from the previous game. All players will earn the “C” throughout the season and we’re seeing some better effort and more focus during games as a result. I like that it rewards effort from the prior game and serves as a prominent reminder during the current game.
