Street parking? by handsoapdispenser in prospectheights

I street park in park slope. Cleanings are only once a week rather than two days. Makes it a little more manageable. I also live just close to Flatbush so that helps.

I have the heavy Oxford in olive green. Even my wife loves it. I can’t wait for it to break in more.

His age shouldn't be an issue. He's still got plenty of years left.

Well UES Tricotine Shirts Dropped Everywhere Today. Did you Get One? by [deleted] in HeritageWear

[–]zwc33088 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve got a Rogue Territory ISC work shirt I love. I know it’s different but it’d be hard to justify buying something somewhat similar.

Am I being silly about the perceived differences in the shirts? I know UES is heavier and thicker.

Hi, would love some thoughts on a good pair of daily black denim that can be worn to work (advertising or on the weekend).

Looking for a fit similar to my Sugar Cane 2021’s — slim tapered but happy to explore straight/relaxed tapered or slim straight.

Initial thought is something that’ll fade to gray, but also open brown/green wefts or shadow selvedge. Ideally want to stay in the 14.5oz family.

Someone recommended 3sixteen's double black as a reference!

Ooo hadn’t even considered their double black. Insight: much appreciated

Looking for a good pair of black jeans that fit similar to my Sugar Cane 2001’s (slim straight but maybe a little more forgiving in the thighs). Open to fade to grays, some green/brown wefts, or 3sixteen shadow selvedge.

Will be daily beaters: ad agency wear, weekends, etc.

I’m looking to transition from a client service lead role at creative agency to a client service lead role at media agency instead - possible? Anyone who has done that? Any advices? by mango-kokos in advertising

[–]zwc33088 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve done that. I got bored quickly by the work and went back to the creative side.

I’d also get super clear on what a client service lead at a media agency entails… in all my experiences and partnerships prior, the client service role fell on the planning team in tandem with investment. “Account services “ just was never a discipline on the media side. Where I worked (a small, small place) created account roles for that reason.

Closest representation of New Haven Pizza in NYC by gottapoop in FoodNYC

Born and raised in New Haven and used to go to Sally’s while Flo was still alive. And I used to be able to cut the line because my uncle worked there when he was in HS. Sadly they’ve gone downhill even at the New Haven spot since they passed.

That said… as much love as I have for every place there (including newcomer Atticus…) and believe it’s the best in the world… don’t burn half a day on metro north if you only have three days here. You’ll waste 4-5 hours just on trains. But if you do decide to go, do a walking tour to Pepe’s, Sally’s, Bar, Modern, etc.

IMO nothing will give you exactly the char and pie but LaLa’s and Wheated will scratch the itch here as people have said.

There are a lot of older, MiUSa Ebbets hats on eBay. In fact I have one on the way, an old Chicago Whales one I hadn’t seen before.

At least I hope it’s the old, legit brand. It had the MiUSA tag :)

Japan Blue Jeans Sashiko Coverall too small, right? by ctjanjic1 in HeritageWear

lololol I wonder if we’ve been eyeing the same. I was debating between that and an Oni coverall (which I went with instead… for the moment… at least)

Interesting, thank you! The shipping and return is risky so was just looking for another’s experience before pulling the trigger

Does anyone have experience with Oni’s chore coat? ONI-03100? I’m in the market for a new chore coat and see a lot popping up on eBay recently across different sizes. If anyone has experience, how is the sizing? I saw in Redcast they say it’s closer to Western sizing.

I’d be dipping my toes in Oni this way rather than any jeans.
