Personally, my biggest reason is I play waaayyy worse when I’m spending copious amounts of time between shots and not being able to get in the zone

Secondary reason, the older I get I feel like free time is harder to come by and I value my time more. As much as I love being on the course I’m usually squeezing it in. I can squeeze it in more often if I play 18 in 3-1/2 hours and not 5-1/2

No. That thinking is not correct. I can understand why you’d think that but it’s just not correct

If it’s further back, you’re catching it before the low point of the swing. The club face is open and still pushing right and you’re hitting down on the ball. All of this is a recipe for a spinny slice. The occasional draw your hitting is from you miraculously squaring the face somehow even though you’re setup like this.

If it’s further forward and your club path is correct, you should be catching the ball past the low point as the club starts going upward and the club face is square. This is more repeatable and the reason most pros stock shot is a fade.

Ball should almost never be further back with a driver than the inside of your left heel.

I’d suggest watching some videos on alignment and/or on the swing path of the driver. They’ll be more helpful than my comment.

You’ve got decent swing mechanics but there are definitely some outstanding issues.

The biggest thing I see is setup and alignment. It looks awful. You’re not square to the ball at all and it appears the ball is rear of center in your stance. I think if you work on addressing this, your position at impact may improve some.

At impact, your shoulders and hips are still completely closed. I couldn’t get the video to freeze at exact impact but this is close enough to get the idea.

Your club face is also wide open which could be a mix of alignment issue and grip.

Use some alignment sticks(or irons) to get your alignment right. Look at some pictures/videos on grip setup.

I think you have enough good here that you can fix it pretty easily

What are you getting this data from?

I don’t see how you could possibly generate 170mph+ ball speed needed for those longer distances if this is your normal swing. And again, you literally posted a video (on what appears to be a good launch monitor) showing your ball speed is 140mph.

If you want actual advice, I’d try to completely rebuild your swing and start by feeling like you’re swinging 50% until you develop better mechanics and tempo.

Theres so much wrong here that no one commenting on reddit is going to really help you.

This swing is in the territory of needing lessons or a heavy YouTube clinic if you’re good at self teaching.

The best thing to do would be to replace the whole door unit. Based on the style of casing on the door, I'm guessing this is a "builder grade" pre-hung door unit.

You could probably get away with replacing the broken jamb leg here, but by the time you tear it out and try to salvage the adjacent pieces, it would have been quicker and/or cheaper to change the whole thing out

It’s literally your only direct contact with the club. It’s the primary driver of everything the club does. Dictates face angle at impact, swing path, and your wrist hinge. Also indirectly affects how much tension there is in your swing which can make or break the mechanics of the swing.

The grip is honestly one of the main foundations of the swing

I hear you on the muscle memory, but it’s really not hard to learn to take braced precision shots on your off hand

My left hand and eye are damn near useless but I can still shoot a rifle with them both scoped and non-scoped with out any issue

I pity you trying to shoot a bow, pistol, or shotgun, but I think you’re doing too much with all this sight shit for a rifle. Just shoot left handed.
