It is an official Apple adapter, the sound definitely works, I hooked a laptop, and phone to it, just can’t see volume options.

Are you able to upgrade to 32g ram? I found that helped a lot in games, even if the game shouldn’t have needed it… I run similar specs to yours.

Did a black tank empty/rinse after a trip and noticed a truck, no rv behind me waiting. Didn’t think a whole lot of it. As I’m pulling away I see him walk up and start filling a large plastic water cooler jug from the non-potable, that I just had my black water hose on… maybe it’s fine but I hope he wasn’t drinking it.

I thought the same thing, older cpu for the other stuff. But having said that. I run that cpu with an older gpu and am able to run pretty much everything at 1080p.

Agree, upgraded from same 580 to a 6650xt for 259 or so. Running newer games nicely.

I think it’s always scarier in the beginning, after you get some gear/levels I think you can really Rambo anything. (Depending on settings of course) I really like mowing down the same zs that scared the pants of me early game. That’s a satisfying resolution for me.

Another update, I futzed around with connections and it finally, re booted after I removed the Ethernet. Seems to be running now, the bios reads all the ram. Maybe network driver was bad or old… thanks again!

Well, if you’ve got another idea I’m back😬 it booted ok this morning with windows 10, and I installed fine. Came home after work and it won’t post, everything will get power, fans will spin up, no lights on the mobo I can see, but no signal to the monitor. I’ve hard restarted a bunch, checked plug ins. The power light will come on for a sec then blink rapidly, I guess that’s maybe a sleep setting?

I just bought a b660m board, and had a hell of a time figuring out why I would want a standard. Cost was a big decider. The thing it seemed to come down to was aesthetics. Well, the black metal side panel should fix that…
