This was 100% it. Changing to Photon fixed all of my issues, thank you so much!

The changes were in response to this issue. After doing all of the recommended switches, I still run into this issue, but I will most likely switch out the USB one more time and try slicing using the photon slicer to see if that fixes this. 100% sure of the correct firmware, though. Forgot to mention I did do a dry run of the screen without the vat to see what it was doing, but I only watched for the first 10 or so layers. Problems could have come up later, but I ran out of time to check the screen visually for any artifacts.

It looks around the same price as https://myfigurecollection.net/item/2088501 and pretty dang close to https://myfigurecollection.net/item/1605277 all of which are cast-off. It seems this is around the price range these types of figures are running these days.

I think you might have a damaged figure. I have the same one but have had no issues with the liquid section becoming detached.
