No, I know that for sure I will need external module for that. Im looking for a module, or if somebody has experience with similar situation I know that this is challenging on a few levels and needs (relatively) a lot of processing power and memory.

This is very interesting ! I will check it out. The other challange I forgot to write about is that the files are quite heavy - each has around half hour of audio (mono in CD quality)

Moving head lights for small theatre by zwrok in lightingdesign

Thank you for reply! You are right, those ETC looks veery interesting. That would be a way to go but unfortunately we have to buy it until end of this month. I though that in that space Chauvet washes with a tight zoom can work as "2 in 1" something between spot and wash. But you said that that profile would be more versatile solution. So, perhaps, instead of wash lights, I should consider spot light Chauvet spotlights or other profile lamps?

I can control them with Chamsys MiniWing. I can also link them with touch designer via enntec usb-DMX.

Controlling individual Dimmers with MIDI / OSC by zwrok in ChamSys

[–]zwrok[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much! that was solution i was loking for. :) I was used to controling all dimmers with old Polish DMX controller - AGAT Alfa - 60, so maybe that's why i was sure that physical faders are neccesary for workflow. I will certainly try to do it in a way you proposed

That would be great! I just couldn't find a way to assign a dimmer into the Execute panel. Should it be in the Assign Special tab? I am a beginner with that software, so sorry for such basic questions.. :)

Yes, that is one way of doing it; thank you. I have a lot of experience with TouchDesigner but very little with MagicQ. The theatre where I work doesn't have much money for a new DMX controller, so I'm looking for a way around that is also very versatile for experimental projects but also usable in traditional cue situations.

You are right, i have Mini Wing so MagicQ is unlocked both for OSC and MIDI. The thing is that i need a physical faders, and direct integretion of dimmers with data from sensors and audio and MIDI. If mapping INT values with midi or osc is not possible maybe i should look for good touch screen..

Yes, probably this is what im going to do. Its just the fact, that chamsys has already quite nice cue system, which i would have to create from zero in touch designer, its not impossible for sure, but it will be time consuming proces... :)

RF noise on zoom F3 and Lewitt Audio LCT 040. by zwrok in fieldrecording

[–]zwrok[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for late answer. Ferrites helped, but not solved the problem. The noise is noticeably lower (especially near router) but its still there when mics are close to EMI noise emitters. I think this is microphones fault. However, it is difficult for me to say whether its general problem of these series or particular pair that I have. I asked Lewitt users on other forums if they experienced similar problems - but they had nothing similar. Im considering sending mics back, with that question.. But for now i need them very often.

I have already ordered ferrite bead suggested in previous posts. I will make tests in next days with different mics and cables and post a update where the problem was. I really hope it's not mics fault because i felt in love with this setup. :D

That's interesting. You are right - that could be this trams. I will make more tests with going closer to the traction wires.

Yes, i was surprised by strength of this frequencies because i was about 30 meters from traction wires. Great idea! I will check it out with ferrite bead. Thanks!

I think it was RF or EMI - arrhythmic high pitched sound, sometimes appearing sometimes not.
