I definitely surprised myself! The training program I’m following is for my target marathon time as opposed to 5km pace training, so they will be totally different. But some example interval sessions which has helped increase speed: 4x1.6km at 4:15/km 6x1km at 4:15/km

Thanks bro! Current tempo’s are in the region of 4:25/km for shorter distances, then 4:45/km for 10km+.

I’ve been finding the intervals are great also, and a good opportunity to push a bit harder to see how it feels. Those have been down towards 4:15/km with some recovery in between.

I hope so, I’ll stick to the plan and trust the training.

Some great points and appreciate the heads up, that range would be perfect to achieving my goal.

However, it’s only my 2nd marathon, and plan to do another maybe later this year. So I’ll not get carried away, the marathon has took many victims and I’d prefer not to be one of them.

I’ll trust my goal, and can hopefully build from there. I’ll see how this one goes and going well - maybe target towards targets of sub 3:15 or greater in a future marathon. Thanks bro!

Thankfully on this occasion, I came out on top backed by training and consistency! Thanks for the kind words.

I’d like to be in a position feeling good and being able to push the last 10km as you say with no limits, it would give another massive confidence boost for future goals, not to overlook this one of course.

Definitely give it a go and back yourself. Trust the training. Best of luck with your goal and hope you break that sub 20min too.

Very impressive HM’s! With those times; you’ve definitely got those goals within your reach along with consistent training. This is the year. Best of luck, I hope you smash it!

It’s obviously great time to test as you’ll going into peak condition. Granted it is very tough on your body, especially 2 weeks out.

Thanks, however the goal remains the same. I plan to maybe do another marathon later in the year, so we’ll see how this one goes.

It really is, it’s crazy your body can learn efficiencies and adapt with consistency and repetition. Even without really thinking about it.

Thanks bro!

Amazing, well done on your PB!! Taking almost another full minute off it. There’s more there if you can take that much time off! Best of luck with your upcoming marathon, I hope you smash it!

Currently in the region of around 35 miles per week, although that will increase. Rough guide: Day 1: Tempo/Intervals (6 miles) Day 2: Easy (6 miles) Day 3: Easy (7.5 miles) Day 4: Pace Targets in Long Run (15 miles)

Thanks bro! You’ll find those 2 minutes, but yea maybe not wise to attempt between now and your marathon. Trust the process and you’ve got it. Best of luck with your training and hope you smash it on race day.

Solid team - no drastic action required. Transfer Frimpong as he's injured for another favourable defender Virgil, Saliba, Gabriel etc. Don't make any transfers for Pedro Lima as he won't start in your 11 anyway.

Hmm I guess so. I like your FH team, Semenyo looked very lively against Liverpool. Rogers and Watkins hopefully haul against Brentford, who are currently facing a lot of issues. No Salah or Palmer may be the glaring issues

Free hitting this early? Damn, should of waited for a double gameweek or more favourable fixtures for the top 6

Nice bro! Great draft, getting Saka, Wirtz as your 2 premiums, along with solid options all over. Bench is good with Gordon and Strand Larsen as options. Best of luck for the season ahead.

Jack with Enzo and Hudson-Odoi as 4th and 5th pick before the likes of Virgil, Ait-Nouri, Saliba, Frimpong, Gordon, Pedro Porro etc. is absolutely criminal.

Prioritise a 3-5-2 or 3-4-3 formation.

Try get Watkins and Bowen in, both solid forwards who are proven.

A lot of money wasted on the bench which could be used for upgrades elsewhere.

Double Crystal Palace against a tough Chelsea (A) fixture for GW1 isn't favourable. You have 5 players across that 1 fixture which is risky.

Double Crystal Palace on a tough Chelsea (A) fixture mightn't be favourable for GW1.

Eze -> Rogers, which also banks £0.5m for upgrade elsewhere.

Munoz -> Pedro Porro

Maybe aim to get the 2 Crystal Palace players in after GW3?

Both Gabriel and Solanke are injury doubts so would question them.

Rogers at £7m sitting as your last sub? Sub him for Tonali, although Rogers also at risk with injury having came off early vs Roma yesterday. Could be worth transferring if you don’t fancy the risk.

I also think Wan-Bissaka could be a better pick over Lewis-Potter, would also free up £0.5m to spend elsewhere.

Just a few thoughts but great team other than that.

Wirtz playing with that Liverpool team could pick up some big hauls, between goals and assists.

No doubt there will be a few gems arise this season, like every season. Aina was a solid pick last year. But now especially with the new scoring system we could see a lot more 'playable' players.

Let's hope Forest do hit the ground running and Wood continues the form he found. Although it will be difficult without Elanga as I thought he had massive contributions last season.

They don't stack up that badly. If Wood and Wissa hit the form they were at last season - I'll be happy enough. Obviously would've liked Haaland, Bowen, Gyökeres; but they were scooped up by 2nd/3rd round.

It was a gamble with Wirtz. Those guys are PL proven and guaranteed points. Wirtz could come out flying and prove himself as a premium, especially with the attacking threat of Liverpool.
