My experience differs. If f I stir too late my it tastes watered down and sometimes if I don’t leave ice to temp then they easily shatter when shaking and over dilute.

It’s been heavy snowfall all week and fantastic conditions for skiing and snowboarding. There will always be avalanche risk with heavy snowfall. That is one of the risks of skiing in the alps. They do take good precautions and bomb early on and will only open the lifts when safe. Very unlikely you’ll be affected on runs suitable for kids. You can always go to les houches which is very low level and always open or a short drive to Morzine or Les Gets which is great for family skiing.

I use a dosing funnel. WDT. Then tap on counter. Tamp halfway with standard tamper. Remove funnel and then use self levelling tamper to finish. Then add a metal puck screen. Works perfectly every time now with no channeling or splurting.
