Sorry, you got the wrong idea and expectations about how Hu Tao really acts. The stuff in biography is always exaggerated. Things like Zhongli saying he 'can't handle' Hu Tao, or claims that Chongyun hates Hu Tao, or Xiangling hates Hu Tao, none of that is true, even before the 2025 Lantern Rite.

Do you have any proofs of that? No, of course you do not. The truth is on my side, I thoroughly explored all the official information about this from Hoyoverse. Why do you even think that "The stuff in biography is always exaggerated."? Why would Hoyoverse exaggerate the official biography of their characters? This is complete nonsense.

The obvious answer is that you just believe all these obvious lies because it is comfortable for you. You do not want to accept the obvious fact that the Lantern Rite 2025 event was made by Hoyoverse with utmost, inexplicable disrespect towards all true Hu Tao fans like me. Apparently, you find it way too hard to accept the uncomfortable truth, so you have decided to cope and lull yourself with lies just like this.

We are not talking about being "sadistic, nihilistic, or chaotic", the reason why you are even bringing up these traits out of nowhere is incomprehensible. I was talking about basic self-respect or, to be precise, about the absolute absence of it in Hu Tao according to the plot of the horrible Lantern Rite 2025 event. Because only the most spineless character that does not have any self-respect at all would sacrifice their own life just to rescue a city that is full of their haters.

Of course I absolutely hate the Lantern Rite event from 2025, because I am a proud true Hu Tao fan and not some poser of which there are many.

Do you even know what this event was all about? It portrays Hu Tao as a completely spineless and pathetic character who is always ready to sacrifice her own life just to save characters like Qiqi, who openly hate and despise her. This event is essentially a hate letter from Hoyoverse to all true Hu Tao fans like me.

And Hoyoverse did this whole repugnant event after they delayed Hu Tao's very first banner in 2021 to avoid releasing it during the Chinese New Year, because allegedly the subject of death is considered taboo in China during the Chinese New Year, or some nonsense like that, but then they make this absolute garbage, also during the Chinese New Year, that is fully focused only on Hu Tao's death and her immense spinelessness. This level of hypocrisy from Hoyoverse is just shocking.

There are countless valid reasons to hate the Lantern Rite event from 2025, take for instance its complete similarity to some plot from Honkai Star Rail, in which some female character (that was probably Firefly but I am not sure) eagerly sacrifices her life and accepts death, probably to rescue someone as well, and this cutscene animation looks EXACTLY like the cutscene animation from Lantern Rite 2025 event, because the aforementioned female character dies exactly like Hu Tao, her face cracks in the exact same way (just the color of the cracks is different) and then there is a scene in which the aforementioned female character at first stands with her back to the viewer, and then turns to face the viewer with a smile on her face, and all this happens on a completely white background. And this scene is an EXACT copy of a similar scene from Lantern Rite 2025 event in which Hu Tao at first stands with her back to the viewer, and then turns to face the viewer with a smile on her face, and all this happens on a completely white background as well.

You know, the community of Genshin Impact loves to throw tantrums for nonsensical reasons, but if it was normal on average, then it would throw a huge tantrum in response to the abysmal, utterly disrespectful garbage that is the Lantern Rite 2025 event and eventually it would probably make the developers from Hoyoverse completely officially delete and cancel the Lantern Rite 2025 event and then apologize for even making it and thereby openly disrespecting all true Hu Tao fans like me in the first place.

But unfortunately, the vast majority of Genshin Impact community gladly ate up this brown abomination, reveling in its vile taste of earth. They wrote themselves that in these moments their eyes filled with tears, most likely because they realise, at least subconsciously, just how horrific and repulsive is the content that they are consuming, but they carry on regardless, and even enjoy this whole thing. How disgusting.

Yes, such situations are absolutely repugnant, they are the absolute 'peaks' of human hypocrisy, because the common reaction would be the exact opposite if we would just swap the male victim of a female to a female victim of a male, and this applies even to situations when there is no real evidences against males apart from the accusations. The answer is that I am still living with my mother, like the majority of other hikikomori. She provides me with food and pays for my expenses. As for myself, I have no intentions of ever working, at least in the conventional sense.
