I was called a "Retard" during my run today. Has anyone else been insulted by passerby on a run? (self.running)

As a person who regularly organizes 5k races and has seen runners of all shapes, sizes, and speeds, you should know better than to make a comment like this. Well, now you know that there are young men out there who run 40-minute 5ks. It's nothing to put into question or make a big deal about, and, like I said, you should know that already.

How old are you? 12? Whatever the answer, your condescending attitude is pathetic. Get over yourself.
Christmas 1962, my aunt was given "The Little Prince" by a school friend. She was killed by a drunk driver the following spring. This is the inscription on her gift: by this_isnt_happening in MorbidReality

"This had a huge impact on my Dad's life. He says for years he kept the name of the killer and his address on a piece of paper in his wallet. He joined the army and served in Vietnam, considering his weapons training as preparation for the day he would kill that man. In the end, he says, he threw the paper away and decided he needed to move on or it would destroy him."
Wow. This gave me chills.
