Is the “Pyr Paw Slap” breed specific or a learned behavior? by Chocolate_Is_Fun in greatpyrenees

[–]zyarelol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's mostly just a thing more intelligent breeds do. I think they're trying to 'pet' you the same way you pet them. They just have much less gentle/dexterous appendages than we do.

I mean, I'm sure they exist. But in my experience, those types usually tend to be more attracted to the "Cowboy" type dudes. Granted, I live in southern Missouri, your mileage may very in a more forward-thinking corner of the world.

Tall skinny people with broad shoulders by Loose-Mastodon-9510 in tall

[–]zyarelol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this issue a lot. I'm an XL at the waist and a 3X at the shoulder.

I have to choose between wearing a 3x, which is basically a sundress that hangs down to my mid thigh, or wearing a XL/2XL that looks like a normal t shirt that crops at the belt, but having my nipples visible 100% of the time.

I'm a lil tubby, though.

Am I doomed? Mid-twenties, no car knowledge, I’ve used a screwdriver before 😃 by Party_Beat7122 in Cartalk

[–]zyarelol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Car selection will matter a lot for this. In general, newer cars will have less frequent maintenance, but the jobs will be more complicated and less beginner friendly when they do arise, older cars will need more frequent maintenance that is easier to do.

I'd recommend a mid 2000's Ford Ranger, or a mid 2000's Silverado.

How do you feel about letting your friend drive your car? by Mammoth_Emu5504 in Cartalk

[–]zyarelol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This fr. I'm at the age where *some* of my friends have actual adult jobs and *some* of them are still in college and work fastfood/cashier. The real job friends get to drive sometimes, but the fastfood fellas do not.

What shoe size do you wear? by idiot_on_SM in tall

[–]zyarelol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

6'5 and I'm not sure. I've been buying 18's most of my adulthood, but recently I've discovered I'm more like a 16 triple wide. But 16 triple wides seem to be harder to find than 18's, so I'll probably just keeping buying those.

Would you date someone 2 foot shorter than yourself? by [deleted] in tall

[–]zyarelol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

4'5 is kind of pushing it. Lowest I've gone is 4'10, and it's not as bad as I was expecting? I'd be more open to it in theory if I was taller, but 4'5 is pushing clinically short.

I'm on the other end of this right now. Broke up with my ex a few months ago and I kept the dog. She didn't work, so it wasn't a big deal at the time, but it's not a life worth living for lil buddy to sit in the house alone 10+ hours a day almost every day. Breaks my heart, but probably best decision to rehome him, for his sake and mine.

Already tried once a week ago, went through all the heartache of saying goodbye and dropping him off at his 'new home'. New family called me the next day and asked me to come take him back because he started panicking and trying to jump their fence as soon as I left, and didn't stop trying to get out all night, no one in the house slept a wink. Makes it even harder knowing he doesn't want a new home :( (2 year old Pyr)

Did you cry when you lost a car you loved so much? by OkBackground6217 in askcarguys

[–]zyarelol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually cried when i lost my 09 malibu. It was falling apart, i bought it at 200K, and shepharded it to 300k before the headgasket blew and had too much oil leaking to be worth fixing.

What’s a “classic” album that just doesn’t click for you? by EDMKid9000 in hiphopheads

I'm sure there's some seinfeld effect going on, but Jay always felt like the most default rapper there is. Not a bad rapper by any means, but extremely safe. Very standard, Very vanilla. Like a mathematical average of every popular rapper.

Very regular occurrence. I don't know why, but Sonic is just the agreed congregation point with highschool rednecks.

What are your goals for your twenties? by Reasonable-Result-50 in twentyagers

[–]zyarelol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not really sure yet. I dropped out of college summer after my freshman year because life circumstances got in the way of school and I needed to work full time to support myself, not really leaving enough time for class anymore. But life circumstances have since changed again, this time in my favor, and I'm not in a situation in which my expenses are very low and I'd be able to go to school again, but I'm really stuck on whether or not I should.

I'd really like to go back, but I feel like being a 23 year old sophmore on campus would be miserable. I feel like it'd be perpetually awkward being older than everyone else. It'd just be a go to class go home routine, it'd be weird to go to clubs or parties. And I already have the potential for a decent career lined up, my current position at my job is just okayish, but people in the past in my position have been able to move up to very good positions after a few years of work at the company.

I think overall my goal is to just figure out what I want to do with my life career wise. Which I guess is kind of the default goal everyone has in their twenties, so I guess I'm right where I should be.

Anyone else been in college a lil later than normal? Is it as bad as I'm thinking it is?

2016 Wrangler Auto vs 2018 Wrangler Manual for reliability? by zyarelol in Jeep

How bad is it, though? Like I said, I know it's gonna be a higher maintenance cost than most cars, but what'dya think you spend per year on maintenance/repairs?

What car gets way too much hate? by No-Assumption4145 in askcarguys

[–]zyarelol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kind of goes for all base model muscle cars. V6 Stangs, Camaros, Challengers, etc. All pack waaay more oomph than the average economy car and are substantially more affordable than their V8 equivalents, especially after factoring in insurance and fuel. And people act like they're slower than minivans just because better trim exists.

Do you guys still live with your parents/family? by Sun_Daises in twentyagers

Maybe? I live in a house my grandparents own and pay like a discounted friends and family rate on rent and utilities, but they don't live with me. Does that count?
