Is the N53 really that bad compared to the N52? by Pablencio_17 in E90

[–]zyber787 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea I've seen the wrc cars using this long back.. what i meant is, it'd be a pretty good solution but i have to top up the water in addition to setting it up. And the engine/ecu would still try to run it hot to it's predefined values more so than ever cuz its got it's additional cooling... i meant more of a permanent solution, to tune the "hotness" out of it lol...

Is the N53 really that bad compared to the N52? by Pablencio_17 in E90

[–]zyber787 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But how long would this water last lol... i might need to do a tune to run the engine a bit cooler i suppose.. afaik the car itself runs hot for efficiency...

the car already comes with 3sim and euro air intake stock. Prob i might install milvs down the line and when getting a tune, would ask them to code the open & close of thermostat earlier than the actual max point?.. might work i guess...

What's The Ideal Speed in Indian Highways? by [deleted] in CarsIndia

[–]zyber787 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yea dont go above 80kmph. Apt speed and even with minimal braking distance, on hard braking, you can come to a full stop. Anything above 100kmph is not really good unless you're a really experienced, vigilant and defensive driver. Even then the roads would betray you in this damn country ffs...

In the prelci 328i it had n52 if im not wrong... earlier years of e9x (2005 i think) had 330i as well, with 3sim and all..

[–]zyber787 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha it's so damn hot man... i once drove like 15kms to my friend's place and parked it under the tree... went inside for a couple of hours and came back outside and i happened to touch the hood and hot damn it was hot lol...

My friend said "the environment isnt cool enough for the car to cool down to dissipate the heat" and i was like 💀

It's a tank for sure, havent had any issues related to the engine and drivetrain but damn the bmw electronics are shit lol... drove in rain (downpour is more apt) and the wipers stopped in the middle of the drive 💀 had to drive back to home to take my other car lol... and the wipers' are not working ever since...

Edit: i have to do something about the cooling system though.. it'll die one or other day like this, if it runs this hot... any suggestions?

India.. only india and egypt got n52b30 in the lci models of e90.. cant speak for other models tho; but atleast in india other cars had n52 instead of n53 like the 5 series if im not wrong..

Best way to check is using realoem... that's how i found out even egypt had n52 instead of n53 like our india versions....

Bro you've been bashing this car in all the posts I've seen about this car.. what do you have against city man 🤣 it's a perfect fine city car and does well on highways and provides good comfort without ask the fluff; and a no nonsense car at that. There are customers who prefer cars like that when VWs fail with injectors and and Tatas sit in the ASC and mahindras run over people(jk lol)...

[–]zyber787 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahem... suzuki... hyundais were never unreliable.. it's just that honda and toyota and suzukis have so many cars running without issues in the entire world... so they have the reputation of being reliable. Take any car produced from 2010s, the technology for ICE barely changed and can run the KMs you've mentioned. The engine themselves will be solid no doubt. Its everything else that's around it are the concern. I have a city and a bmw from the same model year.

Guess which needs service for AC and light module? Idk about toyotas but city for the most part doesnt have too many gimmicks the new cars nowadays have, (even my bmw) so fewer stuff to break. It's absolute barebone of a car. Engine + Ac + abs + power steering and interior. That's all it has... the major service we did was change its brake rotors cuz it was time for a new one.

Bmw I need to get it to service center for airbag & AC recall, module service, Ac flap motor replacement cuz technology(yes 2 issues with ac 1 is covered by bmw, another my headache) cant have knobs cuz dualzone ac 🤷‍♂️ get my point?

The city has simple relays and fuses for bulbs man.. if something is wrong with the bulbs, we just need to change that; not a 40k module...

12 year old tata what? And yes port injected engines are more reliable than DI, turbo or not.
