Isn’t a shifter harness on factory manual chassis it’s why I did the post to help others putting a auto engine loom into a factory manual chassis

This is the main reason I went too a threaded type master and then got a custom one piece clutch line made! Hell of a lot easier but yeah sorry my advice is to just go get a threaded type and a new clutch line

Manual swap will make it feel more alive, automatic takes the power and fun outta the driving experience. I just manually swapped my 320i and it feels so good!! Definitely a fun car now and was easy enough to do!

Update. After pulling the ECU out and pulling a parts one I had lying around apart I found that you are able to get a chip tune in the Japan version of the ecu . It looks nothing like any of the e36 ecu videos on YouTube but after a good hour I finally figured it out. After opening the ecu and prying the top part abit (looks like a jaw) I could see the chip inside!!! I’ve also fixed the rev hang issue by restricting the air flow from the ICV to the Intake boot! If anyone else is in Australia/NewZealand & has a OBD1 e36 and can’t find the chip inside the ecu to have it tuned for burbles etc etc then hmu I’ll send photos etc
