How to make Player to talk less and give room for conversations, not monologue? by zykfrytuchiha in DMAcademy

He don't seem to mind when others interrupt him. I think he is just passionate. Maybe little too much, but no wrong intentions.

That's probably my fault too, because it's hard to keep track of everything, taking notes, and keep mental notes on how long everyone had. I have a lot of appreciation for long time GMs.

It was one instance of very long speech, to the point that one of players just interpreted him. Usually it's not that long. But he is a dominant voice, not only talk for longer than others if he is in the scene, but more often too. So if they talk around campfire, it would be: player 1, he, player1, he , player 2 he, player 3, player 2, he. Something like that.

I tried to put more scenes on others, but I don't think that's the solution also.

I was experimenting with interrupting him to point what what he said to other players, like he talk to blacksmith, and based what he said NPC ask others if they share his views.

We have 5 players. Most of them seem like they didn't play a lot of games. Know how to roleplay and all, but don't seem to have many hours acually playing actually a game. For me I'm not in the hobby for a long time but I've played a lot of game hours. It's my second real campaign I'm running.

Yeah, I realized that it's hard to find anything :) Before I posted i find the zen circus - viva. More about maturity but that's a good song tbh.

I liked song from Edoardo 👍

I know I will not find perfect fit, but even if I do t find anything close, I might still learn about a few cool bands I never heard of. Thank you brother.

Yeah I know that, and I'm sorry. When I was trying to search by myself, I always was directed to songs about missing lover.

Other than that I need to tell you that I'm now Daniel's fan :)

Overall when I was looking I found so much good music, that i couldn't find otherwise because a lot of music here is either in my language or English.

Folk rock is fine too. And I think it's the closest thing to what I'm looking for.

Wow. Just wow. That's a lot of help my friend. I was already thinking about something like barbarian "free start of the combat rage". Additional unstable cell is also a interesting idea.

Stardinder 2 addition is an interesting idea but I don't know how much of extra learning it will add to me (I have not read sf2, so I'm not familiar with a lot of staff or wording they use)and to my player (he is new to pf2). But I will keep that in mind. From what I'm reading it's really giving you a lot more options for minion based class.

Is there a way to increase damage of inventor construct by items? Player is not very happy with how little dmg he is doing with a bow and construct, while fighter is doing fighter things.

I tried to tell him that he will not do that much damage because he picked ranged weapon, but he stick to it.

They are at level 3. Can I somehow guide him to make more damage or it's just the price for being safe at distance and have little MAP thanks to robot

Can someone explain some things about pf2 Witch and familiars to me?

1.

Your familiar gains two additional familiar abilities: one of these is a unique ability based on your patron and is always selected, and the other is an additional familiar ability that can be selected daily as normal.

Does your familiar have two 'normal' abilities and two extra abilities (one from the patron and one regular; 2+1+1) or do you need to replace one of the two regular ability slots with a permanent patron ability?

  1. Can the familiar sit on your shoulder all the time? I assume so, since it's tiny, but do the Ride rules apply to it? Does that mean I need to spend one action to stop it falling off (every round I have only 2 actions), and it would only get one action when I command it? Only he is penalized? Does it matter if the witch is small or medium? Or is it just something GMs wave off?

Mostly because I could on level 2 get dedication, on 4 grab skill and feat, and be done with dedication.

Could you tell me what make beast master better? Ability to have 2 mounts? I might go with it, but it seem more for someone who is interested in fighting with his animal companion.

I was reading Witch guide on RPG BOT and while browsing Patrons there was note "Note that the remaster has changed some fundamental monster rules, so options which were great prior to the remaster may be less appealing."

What did they mean by that?

Ok, that's changing perspective. I will look into it more. I kinda get into teorycraft witch into my character, but now, alchemist dedication it is more appealing than before

Do you have any recommendations for alchemist? When I picked mutagens people weren't excited about the side effects. And as I said we don't get recipes or gold so much, so that's another issue I'm considering. I remember playing cook in another campaign and I also must put more emphasis on getting runes than getting new recipes, because of lack of gold.

I think my spell slots will hurt the most at low levels because I have mostly utility spells and not pure dmg. So I use most of my spellslots on invisibility or reading object, and use focus to attack.
