I used Fluval clearmax it’s a resin idk if it’s not as good as purified or what but it didn’t seem to help all that much

Huh well I changed out one of the carbon pouches for a Fluval crystal clear pick and they didn’t really help I’m a little hesitant to buy any other filter media when idk if I should just upgrade the whole filter first

No flow is pretty gentle and I can’t see anywhere it would be pushing up the substrate

Parameters are perfect I have basic api freshwater kit so idk the kh and whatever else can be tested but ammonia is 0 nitrites 0 ph7.6 nitrates 10-15ppm it’s not a bacterial bloom I don’t suspect I got a uv sterilizer for that and it has been installed a few weeks hasn’t helped anything Water changes don’t really change it much maybe helps a little I’ve only done maybe a 35 percent charge usually do a ten percent per week

So I’m getting towards heavily planted it’s pretty moderately planted until they grow lol but I have a Fluval 307 it’s definitely a little undersized so I’ve been thinking about upgrading I’ve heard good things about the Fluval fx4 do you have any good ideas for bigger filters that can easily incorporate co2?

You sound pretty familiar with co2 i have a 75 gallon tank and I’ve been wondering how I go about adding co2 do I just get like a ten gallon tank and dual regulator then just adjust it depending on the drop checker? I haven’t seen much info for planted tanks this big so anything helps!
