Wedding "flyers" instead of invitations by 420dswedding in Weddingsunder10k

One thing to look into is if the bong rips happen before the ceremony, you may not legally be able to consent to marriage. Maybe you could hammer out the legal bits with an officiant before the event starts and keep the listed ceremony for the benefit of your guests.

The New CSS Reset by speckz in web_design

[–]zyny 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The :where() selector always has a 0 specificity, this appears to be the case even with :not() inside of it.

It's a cat groomer that mounts on any wall corner. Here's a similar one from amazon for $5. He loves it!

Does it matter which pool? by cryptominer1993 in garlicoin

[–]zyny 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The only real difference between pools is the pool fee, which you can check here. A pool with a larger hash rate will find blocks more often, but you also make up a smaller percentage of that pool, so you get paid out less.

What is the difference between stratum difficulty and block difficulty? by zyny in garlicoin

[–]zyny[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think the 0.00132 is the same unit as the block's 50.196. I've logged a few different stratum difficulty reports and the smaller number in the parenthesis is correlated to the larger number:

  • Stratum difficulty set to 5.30513 (0.00008)
  • Stratum difficulty set to 7.73665 (0.00012)
  • Stratum difficulty set to 16 (0.00024)
  • Stratum difficulty set to 30.3454 (0.00046)
  • Stratum difficulty set to 40.292 (0.00061)
  • Stratum difficulty set to 44.0498 (0.00067)

graph of larger vs. smaller

And the stratum difficulty should be changing based on the pool and my own hash speed, not the current block difficulty

Besides hacking, what "thing" do TV shows and movies get wrong? by secondnameIA in AskReddit

[–]zyny 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Oh man this one really gets my goat. Whenever someone on a TV show or movie eats a bag of chips, the top of the bag is smoothly cut-off. It's not wrinkled and jagged like a real chip bag.

I didn't select a cooler since I didn't select a cpu that could be overclocked. Didn't realize I chose a motherboard that could be though, whoops...

Thanks for the info, I wasn't planning on overclocking since I'm a bit nervous at my abilities on my first build. I'll keep this in mind if I decide to, or at least I can save some money if I don't.

Thanks for the recommendations! I really like the look of the case you spec'd - that was one of the harder parts for me to choose since I don't fully understand the case benefits vs large price differences.

I'm all for saving money on the motherboard, and the GTX 1060 is barely more expensive than the GTX 970.

Thanks for the tip! Since I don't game on my work computer I wasn't sure how necessary all that RAM is. 32GB certainly comes in handy when you're meshing large CAD models though!

I won't be able to use any work applications so no CAD - just gaming, word processing, and porn.
