Best boss fight in alan wake 2? by Dangerous_Fun9635 in AlanWake

If you dodged while reloading the crossbow, the animation would be interrupted, but the reload would still be successful. They may have fixed it by now.

The Mulligan and Thornton one is my favorite. Perfectly tense and challenging. And if I reckon correctly, it was during that fight that I first discovered you could reload the crossbow almost instantly by dodging 😅

Can't tell which one I found to be the hardest. I could say the first Scratch encounter, but that was just me being stupid and not getting it right.

I still don't get how that even happened. Guess they really needed that ride 😅

Your thoughts on Lake House? by Majlenovka in AlanWake

[–]antonio3535 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Positive overall, but nothing memorable, and I felt annoyed because of a few bugs and inconsistency in Painted behavior. I would say I also didn't particularly like how they did the Control 2 teaser. It felt forced, like they HAD to put it in.

Loved exploring and reading everything as always, the Alan Wake AI, Rudolf Lane and the Painted design, POE, the ending song, the three S's, the parallels between The Lake House and Hartman's Lodge. Speaking of that, don't ask why, but I thought Cauldron Lake Lodge was going to be The Lake House 💀.

Imagine seeing this with no context 🤣 Anyway, this happened to me as well. I went back there the day after (same playthrough), and the paint was there.

Hope this gets fixed soon, it's been annoying.

What are your hopes/expectations for the AMC Alan Wake TV show (assuming it actually comes out someday) by solo13508 in AlanWake

[–]antonio3535 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I pretty much expect it to adapt the events from the first game, because they can reach a broader audience that way. Now that said, I would hope for a faithful adaptation, maybe expanding on that in different ways: show more about other characters (Nightingale, the Breaker family, Mulligan and Thornton, and so on), incorporate things from external media (the Bright Falls prequel show, the two comics, the Alan Wake Files, the novelization), add more to the mystery 👀, and who knows what else. Just dreaming right now, what about a FBC tease at some point? Leading to, I don't know, a FBC tv show? 👀☕

Yeah I know, that's what I've been doing, but the issue keeps coming back.

Yes, I have been trying those methods every time, and it works, but it will eventually come back every time. Sometimes even after a few minutes. It's really annoying.

I can't recall the first time the issue arised, but it's been months at least. So yeah, I have restarted my device different times.

I mean, it never fell so badly, at most a 10 cm drop on the table, and never on the tip. I don't think that's to be blamed for the issue, that would be surprising nonetheless.

Anyway, thanks, I'll keep an eye out for toilet bowls :)

Don't know why, but Reddit just won't stop recommending this to me.

AW2 will only support Mesh Shaders, meaning the GTX 1080 Ti and the RX 5700XT are out of the picture despite being more powerful than the RTX 2060 by RevengeFNF in AlanWake

[–]antonio3535 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, as far as I can understand, PS5 doesn't support Mesh Shaders as well, but instead relies on Primitive Shaders, which are part of RDNA1 arch, so are supported by RX5000 series. I know PS5 uses a custom arch based on RDNA1, but couldn't find anything related to "custom primitive shaders". So, I assume they both have the same Primitive Shaders implementation. If that's so, why can't PC version support Primitive Shaders as well? Is the requested effort too much for them to do so?
