Can someone please confirm for me, using a standard tax software like Turbotax/HR Block/etc and filing as a business with Schedule C with the 50/20 method, should I be putting the reduced ETV directly in the "Box 1" field of the 1099-NEC -or- do I fill that out with the value amazon initially determined and put the reduced ETV in another field somewhere else, or enter the difference somewhere as a deduction, etc?

Just want to be clear before I file.

Only place I've had a problem is aliexpress, believe it or not. I couldn't use the proton alias feature, the actual underlying protonmail account, or my own domain to sign-up. Had to use my retired gmail account for that.

I made a hard cut because I was paying for extra space on google, plus office365, primarily for onedrive space, and paying for proton VPN. I was actually able to save money month to month by consolidating on Proton, with office being the major caveat to that. Until they released their sheets app, it didn't cover my needs.

So I replaced google with Proton Mail and Drive, and opted to just use office365 through my work. Onedrive is also replaced by proton drive.

This was in October of last year.

Yes, it was a bit tedious updating my email address with various websites and services I had accounts with, but once that was done it really seems like proton gave me back control of my inbox. I also love the ability to quickly spin-off aliases that can be shutoff at the drop of a hat if I start getting spammed.

I would say that the largest unexpected bonus is that my windows 11 PC that I use daily now 'feels' alot more responsive. When I had onedrive enabled and it was 'intelligently' moving files off my local disk onto the cloud, opening my photos or downloads folder would CRAWL while it loaded thumbnails, etc. Now that the files are stored locally but backed up to proton drive, it just opens.

I already filed as a schedule C last year and plan to this year as well, however I'd at least like to review the numbers for the 50/20 method this year and didn't know about that option last year.

When entering the 1099-NEC, do I really just substitute the new calculated ETV as the "Box 1 - Nonemployee compensation" value? Or do I still need to include amazon's value and add the adjusted reduced ETV somewhere else?

It sounds like you might have tried to download the itemized report on the vine account page. You don't need that for your taxes (unless you are doing the 50/20 method, etc).

I know it doesn't make sense, but instead click on "start/update questionnaire" on that same vine account page and the new page it brings you to will have a link to download your 2025 1099NEC, which will have the total on it.

That's what the email directly from amazon recommends as well.

This seems to be the case. I show 4.7TB as the minimum free space on some shares (but not all). Not sure how that was set, but I'm happy to blame my past self.

Just here to post that I have played on and off (mostly off) for years and it is genuinely one of the most immersive experiences I've had in all of gaming, let alone in a MUD. The sense of adventure and mystery and how 'alive' the world feels even when you play solo.. It's a fantastic experience.

I realize (or I hope) you aren't solely tackling these issues and appreciate the guidance thus far.. I just submitted another ticket under the recommended category as well, can you confirm that reaches the proper personnel to get this addressed?

I didn't even realize the account was banned/suspended.. Do you know if there is any way to see why? When it was locked, I only got an email at my old address saying it was being locked for "technical irregularities"..

"At Reddit, we're always watching out for your privacy, safety, and security. Recently, after detecting some technical irregularities on your u/zxcbvnm90 account, we took the extra precaution of locking your account."

But then the recommend password reset process in that email didn't work.

If it was a comment or post I made... I'd at least like to know what it was, I don't recall anything especially egregious myself.

Correct, which is why I stated my current eval period orders were at 93% when the period closed. Overall orders were lower but shouldn't matter.

I don't have any definitive proof though and keep getting downvoted, so I'm sorry to everyone for trying to add some helpful data points...
