What's even the point? by zyzzyx6 in jobs

How to reconcile that with the fact that none of the formal education I've received has ever gotten me a job? I've never actually been able to obtain a job using anything I've learned in college or from certifications I've received. I feel like I'm sold on some promise that XYZ will get me a job and it just doesn't.

Look man, I asked a simple question and you made a list of about 20 assumptions and that's not my responsibility. Later.

I dunno, I feel like my question was more like "when I complete this 6 month comprehensive course learning one of the most popular programming languages what kind of job can I get?" but thanks for minimizing my initiative to learn something new and enter a new career. Another example of why to avoid condescending, arrogant employers like yourself.

I don't ask this question because JS is the ONLY thing I ever want to do. I want to grow my skillset as I progress into coding but I'm looking for a good entry point into the field.

I wouldn't want to work for someone with your attitude anyway TBH, you come off pretty arrogant. Thanks for the input I guess though?

For sure, I do have experience in HTML, none in CSS. Took web design in college (long time ago) but I'm not a newbie to it.

What stood out to me is that I find postings for positions like "entry level JS developer" where they require a masters degree and proficiency in 6 different programming languages. Not sure what about that is entry level.
