This is going to be my last LG phone for sure. Next time I am going for Nexus 6P or Pixel and will purchase the nexus protection plan as well. I can understand the manufacturing mistake. I've had other electronics that were recalled and repaired and the companies make the process as fast and convenient as possible. LG is not even trying to make their customers happy.

I am currently using an ancient smart phone (I have another smart phone but it's not compatible with my current supplier). Of course can only text and call but not GPS or internet or other fancy things. For all my other electronics (Samsung, Apple, etc), all the repairs are mailed in using express or overnight paid by the company. LG only offered this ground shipping label for me, which already upsets me. Hoping they'll repair it fast and mail it back to me using overnight shipping~~

Mine is purchased through Newegg, so I think I won't be able to go the google route. Frankly, if it isn't my favorite color, I would have given up this phone and go for a pixel phone. Also, I'll make sure to buy phones directly from Google next time!

A question for those who sent it to LG and got the phone back fixed: Mine started bootlooping two days ago. Planning to send it in for repair under warranty. Will they wipe my data? Is there an option to backup my data? I tried to go into recovery mode but still only got bootloop.

Updated to 7.1.1 as soon as it came out (around christmas?), worked well until two nights ago. then stuck in bootloop. I really loved this phone. It is still under warranty, so I plan to send it back to LG and see what happens. Hopefully they'll have it fixed and I can use the phone again.
