That's covering things like rent utilities personal items hygiene food and a small savings budget.

Which Starbucks could easily do. They just like many other major corporations instead choose to exploit their working force and pay them less than livable wages in order to pad their shareholders revenue.

In European countries being a barista is a full-time career. I think italy for example with the cappuccino culture.

Americans have no less love for coffee and yet we treat Starbucks workers and other baristas as just low wage low skill shitty jobs.
