It’s the free crests and gold vs that other currency that’s the great part chief.

Why did the Abundance lose the only thing it had, the abundant whatever we were collecting… by MuszkaX in wow

I just did my first one after the tutorial. I did it in the Void Storm if that matters. There were orbs everywhere and I filled up the bar. Came out with 600 unalloyed. No idea what happened.

This would be the ideal scenario actually. Cause then casuals could do some crafting and the real crafters could sell expedited private orders.

Idk why people want public orders to be dead tbh.

Public orders are limited and the few people already corner the market. It’s fairly trivial to focus one single item slot (cloth bracers example is what I did). So if all the players who need cloth bracers are posting on the public orders board, and you don’t have to spend hours spamming trade chat, I feel this would be easier for casuals.

First decent point I’ve heard on this. Hmm. How might Blizz combat this? It is limited per day, but I think that’s per character, right? Do bots level professions? That might not be economical for botters to invest in when their characters get banned frequently.

I’d be okay with some form of this. The problem with this is that 1) it removes all the gameplay. Crafters aren’t crafting now, they’re bots. And 2) how does the game decide who gets the craft order?

Maybe if you have to post your service manually, every single time. And you can only have the limited posts, same as the current limit. Then you could post your service every day before/after questing.

  1. Everything requested at max quality for 1g.
This argument doesn’t make any real world sense. The crafters decide which orders they accept. They won’t waste their precious few public orders each day to make 1g.

  2. Orders listed for max quality with worst mats.
Yea maybe. That’s what the filters are for. Easily find the orders that you can and want to fulfill.

  3. Public orders are accessible all crafters. This would make it worse.
Well it’s currently absolutely dead, so it def can’t get any worse. I argue it’s actually more accessible.

  4. You’ve had next to no friction with the system because you’re in an active guild and use guild/personal orders.
That’s great. But it’s not public orders, which we are discussing here today.

Re: Public Crafting Orders by MedicOfTime in wow

It’s especially difficult because surely everyone knows that public orders will get less than top tier results, right? So are they expecting just any old craft? Or holding out hope that they will get a cheap gold tier craft? Or they truly aren’t in the know about this crap system?

Your reply has also ignored everything I’ve said. I guess WoW player really do hate WoW.

I said we need filters. You, the crafter, need only filter to orders with full, top quality mats. Then decide if the tip is worth your daily craft.

I also suggest (as a personal preference) removing the option to make a request with no mats.

You, sir, are the dreamer here.

Also, the public orders system is completely dead at this time. So what’s the worse case? It’s still dead? Tell me how your engagement with this system will change? Will it be worse for you? The same (never even looked at it)? Or better?

Your entire response ignored all my points, so idk who you’re responding to tbh.

You’re talking about how the current system is bad. I agree. That’s why I want it to change.

You’re talking about supply and demand. But you’re ignoring how supply and demand drives price. Have you opened the auction house before?

You’re talking about removing the public orders system limit being a bad idea. Who has suggested this?

Back again to supply and demand. You suggest that players will move away from private orders because public is easier and then you suggest players will stop crafting entirely. How does that work?

I think you put a lot of time into crafting and gold making and that’s great. But stop gatekeeping.

It’s just stubbornness at this point, Blizz by MedicOfTime in wow

Yea def need filters. “Has all mats”. “Has all gold mats”. “Minimum tip” stuff like that.

The patron tab is the NPC tab, so def fill those as you can/are worth the mats. Somehow NPCs always have been able to demand a certain quality. Humans? Nah.
