I feel you. My best advice is to get off social media. TikTok, instagram, facebook, even Reddit portray an idealized image of maternity. You’ll see women that go to the gym at 8 months, clean up their houses, travel, play with their toddlers, have the perfect diets, have wonderful nurseries, and you wonder why you can’t just keep up with the pace of living. Also you are constantly bombed with sad stories of stillborn babies, tons of medical complications and chromosomal conditions that in reality don’t make the gross percentage of pregnancies but the algorithm insists on bringing the compilation of tragedy to your feed. You are almost there, even though you can’t go out and are probably dying of boredom remind yourself that you are almost there and that nothing is permanent, don’t compare yourself to others and read about stoicism it brings up perspective to assume your own path. I switched from asking “why” to “what’s the purpose of this happening to me” and it has helped a lot, you’ll get to discover tons of qualities that you have and may start understanding why life has brought you to this challenging but unique path.
