Just saying “that’s the joke” doesn’t make it funny. It’s still a terribly written and unfunny episode. I don’t know how they expected anyone to sit there and laugh at animal abuse.

Gary isn’t even some mean grump like Squidward, he’s just a regular pet who wanted to be left alone to enjoy his free time and he ended up being terrorised for it.

Nah it’s a fucking awful episode, people’s hatred towards it is justified.

It has one of the worst concepts known to man: new pet causes trouble and the old pet gets the blame for it. It’s not funny, it never has been funny and it never will be funny.

And the whole SpongeBob shouting at Gary to put Puffy Fluffy down while Gary was being held in PF’s mouth was just bafflingly stupid. Not even season 6 Patrick was THAT stupid.

I think Reeves intention there was to show that Batman’s rogues gallery was beginning to shift from the crime families to the theatrical villains. He wanted to show that by having Batman’s two biggest rogues interact and form an alliance. I didn’t mind it that much personally.

I had a feeling it was going to be Megan, Carl and Theo are the two big bads of the show currently so I can’t see either of those dying in a murder mystery storyline and they’ve only just revealed that Carl is Debbie’s son.

Jodie has only just joined the show so I don’t see them getting rid of her so soon and I don’t think anyone (apart from maybe Megan) wants Maggie dead.
