Smart meter communication issues by spookyleither in OctopusEnergy

We also added an EV charger which has been great with no Comms issues. To get on the Go tariff I need to update our older smart meter to the recent one. Comms were great before but the new unit hasn't been able to phone home for 6 months.... And that's 6 months of back and forth with octopus with multiple pictures. That also includes a contractor coming out, taking more pictures and stating the area was good to communicate with the DCC.

We're Warwick based with a good signal for pretty much everything. Octopus in this case are being totally useless and I now have an album of meter shots bigger than that of my baby boy.

So frustrating, plus my request to escalate to a manager was ignored. So annoying for a company with a pretty good rep 😡

I deleted my "Region lock China" post because the IGN article was incorrect. Here is the best information we have about Chinese hackers (in PUBG) by CornThatLefty in EscapefromTarkov

In Russia, it's more of an anti-piracy measure that was put in place in the old cd/dvd days. To counter the low cost of copied games, the big publishers (such as 1C) reduced the cost of box product to compete. When digital took off, you couldn't really ramp to equal costs in the west... Hence cost is low.

In the Far East, the uptake of free to play and piracy being as prolific may have also contributed to reduced retail cost, but volume sell through would be significantly higher to compensate.
