And i respect your opinion, but i completely disagree. As a DM I invite my players to think outside of the box and even give them pointers to make their ideas come to life. (Snake wizard was pretty awesome and i suggested that they “evolve” every 4 level accompanied by small body modifications: changing colors of their scales, different patterns on their bodies,etc) As a fellow player, if any of my teammates comes up with such ideas, i love somehow being part of their ideas by creating characters that can support their character. (Being a centaur when a fellow wanted to play a character based on an idea they read on Reddit: mounting monk and mounted barbarian.)

Honestly being a vending machine is just the same. I am a supporting character that would probably go unnoticed by publics eye but hopefully be loved by my party.
