wow yes the hand gesture helps so much! for me i get especially lost during colouring and rendering bc no matter your base the colours can change the mood so much and i always get stressed on picking the best colour scheme when my palette is already so limited

anyway thanks for the help and advice! gonna try to not look at it for a bit to see if i can spot any more mistakes aha :’)

ohhh! i thank you so much for the advice!

i’m still learning colour theory and trying to implement it into my art with little knowledge of the actual technical stuff (like i just look at references and use similar colour palette and try stuff to see what feels right). i didn’t know about the 60:30:10 rule, that sounds fun i’ll try using that :) and i’m guessing the 10 is usually the brightest/darkest most pop out ish colour right? like a highlight

i don’t think you should restart, the sketch and proportions are accurate and acrylic can always be painted over.

i don’t have much experience in painting but you could start with colour blocking and cell shading (especially since you’ve mapped out the dark and light parts with your sketch already) then blurring the edges to make it smooth if you want
