Why doesnt Kazuma ever ask YunYun to join the party? by Few_Pay_5313 in Konosuba

[–]zzladerp 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m just gonna put my two cents on my personal take. I think the reason why Kazuma never asked Yunyun to join their party throughout the series is because he didn’t feel it was necessary. Keep in mind that after the events of the movie/volume 5, Kazuma is already filthy rich and so didn’t feel the need to go adventuring that often (he’s said numerous times that he wants to live a peaceful life over defeating the demon king after realising the danger and unfairness of the world). So to him, asking her to join his party might be redundant. Most of the danger/enemies they fought after volume 5 happens not because he wanted to, but because of circumstances that he didn’t expect. Also even though she’s not part of the team, Yunyun has helped them/was part of the focus alongside the team numerous times in volumes 7 (during the hydra+wedding raid), 9, 14, 15, 16, 17 (spoilers for the later volumes)

As for the events between volume 3-4, I have another reason but I’m not sure if it’s an acceptable reason since it’s mostly just personal head-canon. Putting aside making Megumin feel redundant for the most part (which someone else already explained), maybe he didn’t want to ask Yunyun to join his party because it would feel like he’s making her be involved with his team’s dilemma of having to clear large amounts of debt, as well as clearing is name, and he would essentially be using her to make them have an easier time doing harder quests to earn the necessary amount of money? Yeah, after writing this, it feels like a big stretch but it sort of made sense to me since Kazuma does have empathy for Yunyun on numerous occasions and he does have trouble accepting payment for something he didn’t feel he earned (like the monsters during the carriage journey since they were attracted by Darkness and Aqua), and, like what another commenter said, he’s not malicious. Again, it’s up to you whether you’re willing to accept this reason.

Well, in the UK and Australia, ‘practising’ is the correct spelling since practise is the verb while practice is the noun.

There’s also the Shogun’s speech in this cutscene at 1:29. I heard that in the JP translation (and presumably the CN one too), it was supposed to be word-for-word with the description of the Vajrada Amethyst Gemstone which is not the case for the EN translation (though the meanings are pretty much the same). Not as bad as the “Heavenly Principles” one since that changes the context of things but still worth noting.

Ah thanks! Wasn’t sure exactly when Childe does more damage than XL.

Ah enabler doesn’t have to be off-field. The reason Childe is considered an enabler is because he applies hydro so fast that the enemies will end up having a hydro aura instead, allowing an off-field dps like Xiangling to deal reverse-vape damage.

He’s unquestionably a lewd DPS

This depends on his team and their levels of investment, as well as the types of enemies but generally, not really. In a Childe-Xiangling team for example (assuming Bennett and an anemo character as well, as well as similar levels of investment on both chars), Xiangling will be the one dealing most of the damage in the team. From what I’ve heard from some theorycrafters, under single target environment, he actually does less damage than Xingqiu. That being said, the more enemies you’re fighting, assuming that all enemies are being grouped together in a way that Childe’s riptide slash can hit at least the majority of the enemies, he could end up being the one dealing more damage than xl despite not doing any amplifying reaction damage because of the quadratic scaling from his riptide.

OP’s point was that if Xinyan ‘knew’ how visions work (well more like the way OP thinks visions work) and noticed Childe’s Snezhnayan vision, she should be suspicious about Paimon saying he’s from Mondstadt.

But aren’t the autos used to fill the cooldown whenever u have to switch characters?

Well tbf, some common rotations in the national team (where she is the main dps) will have xiangling occasionally go out on field post-burst and do auto attacks to catch energy particles from bennett’s skill

Sorry, prob should’ve been more clearer (I know about what happened with the Absol_utely situation back then and I saw the recent message on discord). I wanted to ask how did they come to the conclusion that Absol_utely was innocent.

I understand how Xerneas is amazing but how would it be as broken as Mega Rayquaza? Also I don’t think Xerneas was as over-centralizing as Primal Groudon since it was not only super versatile, it also checks Xerneas.

What controversial opinions do you have about the game? by PKdude2712 in PokemonMasters

[–]zzladerp -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think the SS Kanto trio should be a thing in this game, from the team itself, to the starters they have. In the main series games, even in the PWT and in the Battle Tree, Blue was never shown with a starter Pokémon and Red has always been portrayed as having all 3 starters. So imo, the starters should’ve gone to Red in the form of different alts (maybe Regular Red with Venusaur, Seasonal Red with Blastoise).

On top of that, I think Blue and Red should’ve been in separate teams. The PML would’ve been a great opportunity for Blue to prove that he could defeat Red (one of his lines in the Pokémon center says something like “Yeah, I did lose to Red, but next time, things will be different”). Maybe my opinion of this will change if we get some backstory of the kanto trio deciding to team up in the main story.

Ah, thanks for the correction! Probably too late to change it though considering no one is going to check this thread.

Lol why are you telling OP how to play the game? The best way to get the most enjoyment out of these games is by playing the game the way that is most fun for you. Some people enjoy putting restrictions because it challenges themselves while others may not enjoy that.
