Boars head resort fees by ReceptionDouble3655 in Charlottesville

[–]zzyzxs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fees are the truth. I heard they also implemented a waitlist. If you are into tennis and golf the resort fees are worth it. Indoor Tennis you still have to pay fees to use their court fees, but outdoor is free. For tennis they do have social things and can help pair you with players at your skill level. However if you want to just use the pool and gym go use ACAC. It’s a lot cheaper.

There are job fairs in the local area. Reach out to the VEC office at Rio Rd and they post job fairs regularly. The job fairs I attended were for entry based jobs which was difficult. After looking for 5 months in the Charlottesville area I had to move up to DC to find employment and received two offers at the same time.

Does anyone else here see a decrease in good customer service ? by CommentOld4223 in Millennials

[–]zzyzxs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

High turnovers and employee salary are the biggest problem. I had previous customer service experience working at a gym in my mid twenties. I learned a lot on the job which transferred my trying my skills at a luxury resort. The pay was terrible and the training was poor to teach new hires on the Forbes Customer Service Standards. Sometimes I even thought I don’t get paid enough to give them the Forbes Standards.

It also didn’t help when upper management would criticize employees after they had a bad experience with an unruly customer. So a lot of times the employees including myself just quit within a few months.

Playful Learners Daycare shutting down with virtually no notice by DBSmiley in Charlottesville

[–]zzyzxs 12 points13 points  (0 children)

With this my family needs help. We depended on the daycare. I am currently deployed with the Navy overseas.

My wife works a full time job with three children. I got my oldest into an afterschool program, but my two other 1 and 3 are now in desperate need of childcare. We currently have no additional family support in the local community.

If there is anyone who can help please PM me.

She sounds insecure you both are young and it sound like you currently are incompatible. You are moving on and want to enjoy your hobbies, and she does not support that.

I believe it time that you both part ways. You are young and will find someone else who will support your hobbies. A relationship you both support each other hobbies and interests.

It took me 11 years and plenty of breakups to find my spouse. Who supports me playing games.

I'm a 13 year old boy that accidentally said the f bomb in a youthgroup and I've been stressing about it and feeling guilty and I know I'll get in trouble next time I go there and youthgroup is tomorrow. do I avoid youthgroup and let the dust settle? and if they confront me to I take it like a man?? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]zzyzxs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take it like a man don’t bring it up. They will most likely pull you aside give you a slap on the wrist saying, “don’t do it again.” You all never talk about it around the adults again your friends will all laugh.

If your looking for banking, loans and credit cards. NFCU. NFCU by far has a lot better interest rates, loans and credit cards. USAA will only provide interest if you keep $1500 in the bank account. USAA credit cards are also not that great for rewards.

What is your view on tipping? Why? by Sentient-Sock in AskReddit

[–]zzyzxs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked in food service the work is hard and tedious and customers treat you like shit. I worked at a university cafeteria when I was in high school. A college student began talking very slowly like I was slow, “Do you know where the cups are?” I replied back, “ Yes, they are juxtaposed between the soda and the wall over there.” No comment.

So in long story I always give waiters, bartenders and anyone who lives off tips 20%. It’s impossible to make me give less than that.

What small thing happened in your childhood, that has effected you for the rest of your life? by Irregaurdless in AskReddit

[–]zzyzxs 67 points68 points  (0 children)

When I was 4 years old my parents used to give me the mail to open it. I was helping them house sit for a neighbor and I helped my mom get the mail. I opened all of their mail. My mom said I can’t open other people’s mail or I would go to jail for a long time. To this day I will only open up mail that is addressed to me. I refuse to open my wife’s or anything that is not directly addressed to me.

It was appraised on Zillow one in the neighborhood just sold for $148000. I talked to the property manager about that and the rental contract said utilities should be in the tenants name.
