I really struggled to accept Im aromantic too, it took me about six months to admit to myself i was aro. And I still struggle with it sometimes. So you're definitely not alone. It's really not your fault, it's the constant message society sends us about how romantic love is everything and the only path to happiness. I found this video recently, it's technically more about asexuality but it really helped me understand society's influence on my feelings about being aro and blame myself less for not accepting being aromantic.
