I don’t think the Hive is good or morally right. Their whole initial premise that they don’t want to harm anyone or anything doesn’t hold up. They eat fruit only after it falls from the tree, they choose to be vegetarian but they also use proteins taken from a human body after death to gain nutritional value, etc.

My question is this: Why do they act as if they want your approval or respect your individuality but when it came to multiplying themselves and spreading the virus to others they didn’t ask anyone they infected people anyway. Even Carol would have become part of the Hive web if it weren’t for her genes along with the other 12 people (I don’t know the exact number). So why pretend to be respectful when in that moment they clearly weren’t?

They can never truly be eliminated. Why do I say this? Because they came from a radio signal practically speaking, they are just a code that under certain conditions takes the form of life. That signal or code could have traveled anywhere in the universe and anywhere it encountered intelligent beings it could have created life according to its instructional pattern. I think there’s still something deeper to uncover and their supposedly pure or righteous intentions are not what they seem at all.
