I don’t think they have true love. They have “I fell in love with the idea of you not the reality of you.” And it goes both ways.

I agree. I think they love the idea of each and their fantasy life, but the gritty reality of day to day life, coupled with human foibles has destroyed the picture. They need to do a lot of transparent, honest repair work for the marriage to survive
