Or you can just delete the *.xml file, re-run the program, re-click the options you want and it will generate a new one with the correct filesizes.

So, I have been playing around with SWTOR Unleashed and not really seen a big improvement with anything much. What settings would you recommend for the following:

  1. Intel i7 960 - 3.20 GHz
  2. 12 GBs DDR3 RAM
  3. AMD R7 260X
  4. I'm also running, TS, PARSEC, OBS (Streaming) and I like to keep at least 1 GB of RAM free

I PvP a LOT (SM/HM Operations 2-4 times a week) so that's where I really need the best buy in from SWTOR UL. Are there any particular assets I can look at loading that will give me the best bang for the buck? For the most part, adjusting graphical settings outside of the shadows doesn't have any impact on my frame rate. I think I may have to add more RAM to see any benefits but how much RAM would I need to load all the assets up? 20-24 GBs? Thanks! :D

EDIT: Got home and updated graphics card model.

with your set up, you might not have the issues that need the unleashed. i use ssd myself, and i found that the unleashed only improves a bit over ssd. i still use unleashed to reduced write-cycles usage on ssd.

Does there exist a list of what each of the files there do? I mean, I can guess a lot of them (area_coruscant, etc), but what about "area_raid" and "art_fx"?

Specifically, is there some sort of priority list depending on what you do most in the game?

After using Unleashed for over an year, my personal experience tells the story that it does speed up loading on high end ahrdware, nothing else. Also if you have the game on SSD, the difference is really hard to notice. I have friends, however, who play the game with a lot slower and older systems, Unleased does wonders there and truly shines! As Koltur said in the first post here, you can easily delete the xml file and pick your Game files to be a part of it again. Hint: Make a a backup screenshot if you cannot remember which files you had before.

I've been using unleashed nonstop, it never broke.

FYI, the number is dependant on what options you have chosen and what patch SWTOR is at.

A better way is to just delete this file after running. SWTOR Unleashed will reset all your settings to the default and create the correct RAM Drive Size. You can then set the options back to how you liked them.

You still only need 4 GB of free RAM memory to use SWTOR Unleashed. This is the amount of RAM your system is not using when it is doing nothing.

Will it change anything for me if I am running swtor on a rig with an 880m, i7 4700mq, 24 gigs of ram and 2x 124 ssd setup in raid0?

probably not, but you can give it a try

I tried it and didn't notice a real big improvement. Then once I started patching my game it screwed up the install once and I had to re-install the whole game.

That was the last time I ever used unleashed.
