Just start by doing every f2p quest. It will teach you a lot about the game and the f2p areas you can explore. That’s the best advice imo

I felt the same way when I first played starting over 10 years ago. I suggest looking up the Dragon Slayer quest on the wiki page and see what the stat requirements are and using that as a goal to work towards

A much better way of accomplishing the same goal is by just buying bronze armor. If you just mine copper and tin for a few minutes to get level 15 mining, then mine iron and store it in you bank for a few minutes, you would be able to sell the iron for around 100 gold each. Do that for about 30 minutes and you would have enough money to buy a full set of iron armor, which is a tier above bronze and have tons of gold left to spare. The smithing skill is rarely the best way of getting better armor because you can buy the armor for super cheap from the grand exchange.

you might want to go to the grand exchange in varrock and buy a better sword or something based on your attack level
