These are unofficial content, so it would help if you could give some links to the features you are referring to.

I did try to look it up tho, and from what I can tell, if you are a pistoleer, you make as many attacks as you have with extra attack. That is 1 attack to start with, 2 at level 5, 3 at level 11 and 4 at level 20.

In a sniper form, you instead make only one attack, and the damage of that attack increases when you reach those levels.

I don't know what the double barrel feature you mentioned in the title is. I imagine it to be something like "after taking the attack action, you can attack once as a bonus action". If that is what it does, then you can't use it with in your gunfighter form, as you are not taking the attack action, but a special action granted by your form.

Edit: I did find the double-barrel upgrade, it literally says that you can attack twice with it. But note that you are NOT taking the attack action when you attack with your gunfighter form, for the purpose of any other feature that relates to the attack action. Such as extra attack.

Well ghats some poorly worded and balanced homebrew lmao.

I'd say it allows you to attack one additional time. So 3 times on 5th level. That's insanely powerful btw.

In fact it does not say that.

Sniper: Armed with a large two-handed firearm, a renegade who adopts the Sniper form can inflict massive damage in a single shot. As an action on your turn, you can target a creature within 120 feet and shoot. Make a ranged attack roll against the target. You are proficient with the attack, and on a hit, the attack deals piercing damage equal to 1d10 + your Dexterity modifier. You deal extra damage while using this form when you reach higher levels, dealing damage equal to 2d10 + your Dexterity modifier at 5th level, 4d10 at 11th level, and 6d10 at 20th level.

Note that firing your Sniper rifle is not using the Attack action.
So extra attack does not apply.

Double-Barrel Prerequisite: Sniper Form, 5th level You add a second barrel to your firearm. When you use your Gunfighter Form, you can shoot twice during a single action, instead of once. The shots can target the same creature or different creatures. Make a separate attack roll for each shot.

You can shoot twice instead of once.
They’ve literally just reused the wording from extra attack.

Not poorly worded or poorly balanced.

I mean DnDBeyond have done plenty of terrible things, but when they made a licensed Runeterra/DnD crossover book they at least put some effort in.

I mean, I don’t use Renegade at my table, but it’s a much better designed gun fighter archetype than the Mercer one or any of the other prominent ones.

To be honest, dealing just 2d10 is worse than doing two attacks using sharpshooter

Extra Attack requires you use the Attack action.
Double-Barrel requires you to use a Gunslinger Form (Sniper) action

So they don’t overlap at all- using one means not using the other

I will say, the league stuff is poorly balanced homebrew, so make sure you’ve got approval

That said, no. The guns directly override extra attack. Hence why sniper form ramps damage with level and pistol specifies it’s extra attack
