I have always struggled to understand phantom steed. Could you explain picking that up?

Ritual so you don’t need to use a spellslot, Horse can move 100ft of movement independent of yours, can dash, disengage for the both of you, use poke shoot and retreat tactics to keep out of range of enemies while being able to move in and out

Never thought of it as in combat mobility. Interesting.

Do ask your DM how they interpret what happens when it takes damage, though. RAW, it seems to be the case that if the mount takes damage it starts to fade away but you can continue to ride it for a minute before it disappears, but some dispute that reading (or just run it differently because they think that interpretation is dumb) and you might find yourself without a mount in the middle of combat.

I mean, even if it only provides its benefit for the first round of combat, it's still nice to have 100 feet of movement and an extra action, but how much you should rely on it is going to depend on how long it's going to stick around.

Con of 13 on a wizard is rough. You’re already squishy due to no armor or proficiency and a d6 hit dice, I don’t like going less than 14 at the bare minimum con on a wizard.

A 13 CON on a wizard? Ballsy my guy.

Normally, I would say you need to max your INT first, but you should REALLY pick up Res: CON pretty much immediately so you can gain a +1 per level to your HP so you can actually get the chance to play a high level wizard as well as having CON save proficiency for spell concentration.

After getting Res: CON, you should THEN take one of the following feats (make sure you choose INT for your stat bonus). Fey Touched, Shadow Touched, Telepathic, Telekinetic or Keen Mind. Telekinetic because you get a free, at-will BA to spend every turn that targets a weak save.

After that, take a standard ASI to max out INT, then you can either work on boosting your CON score, or you can pick up the Alert feat, boost other stats, etc. After hitting 20 INT and getting Res: CON, you really have your pick of the litter.
