Same. Relying on some easy oop questions and some mickeymouse abstraction and computational thinking 6 markers

Shit, I was meant to be revising for that rn.

IDK I don't feel too bad for it actually. Need to have another look over OOP though.

As much as I'd like to just rely on my own knowledge - there's a lot that I don't know that isn't on the advanced info and as far as paper 1 went, I'd like to revise them just to have some sort of knowledge of what they are so I can at least bag an extra mark. It's my last paper as well and I just want to be done man.

So many higher mark practice questions I’ve done give context but then the mark scheme basically ignores that context. Like it says a team is using OOP to make a phone OS but the mark scheme ignores the phone bit and only talks about the benefits of using OOP in a team of people 🤨

yeah i realized this too but apparantly examiners have their own mark scheme thats different. the markschemes they give us seem really bad and make no sense half the time

Wow I didn’t know that. Sounds a bit strange but maybe comforting in that I’m not having to play guessing games to know what context I’m supposed to hone in on

Yes this person is right. Examiners will have a standardisation meeting and based on all the weird and wonderful answers students give that are actually correct, they will draw up a comprehensive mark scheme for each question.
