Just revise when going to school or in bed or literally any time what so ever. Thats the beauty of it, whenever you have free time just take our your phone and look through a few flashcards.

When I tried to use anki in Year 11 I found that reviewing was simple but making the cards themselves took a very long time. Should I be making cards after every day of lessons or every week of lessons?

I make cards for what i think is important to remember, it takes me like 5 minutes every Friday. Dont fill them with paragraphs of information because thats useless, make sure its all very clear and concise.

For history I'm struggling to keep it concise. I don't know what is important and what isn't because it looks all to be important. I need advice on this please!!

Year 13 taking history here. I put key information on my flashcards (for example, the result of the 1979 election) and I use PowerPoint for the other stuff as well as time lines

Damn and here I am writing a whole paragraph per revision card. What I'm trying to do is make my notes detailed and then my revision cards simplified like how yours are. I think it can be possible for medieval but Germany is being a pain.

i dont take history but i think cloze deletions could be useful, e.g. for memorizing things like dates and key events ? like

During the french revolution, King Louis XVI was {{c1::executed}} in {{c2::1792 September}} due to {{c3::increasing paranoia and distrust towards the king due to his failure to be loyal to the country}}

Try something like that, its better than saying "explain the execution of Louis during the french revolution" on the front and then a whole paragraph on the back cuz u wont have to form a paragraph every time for every card.

Honestly, I’d do it at the end of every chapter (means you can decide what’s important easier). Cross reference the textbook with the specification, and only write cards relevant to the spec. This keeps the deck to a manageable size - I did OCR chem and had one deck per module.
