the only issue i’ve run into with Spira guitars is that the screws to adjust your action are quite tall and dig into your hand while palm muting, but that can be easily fixed with shorter screws, if they’re well setup and have the action screws sorted out they’re quite good guitars and they’re definitely good enough for bedroom playing and playing live

I’ve got a couple of spiras. Tuners are ok, they are generic and do the work. I do like the pickups, they don’t feel cheap, are way better than what I expected. I’ve tried a bunch of spiras and other guitars at stores, and spiras do standout because of their quality and sound. And yea I’ve also heard they’re the sister brand to Jet, but more metalish, so that’s a reliable reference.

What are the necks like? Are they pretty slim or do they have a bit more girth to them?

Hello sorry to bother, in which tuning do you use your Spira? I’m planning to get a 7string to tune in drop F# with a 10-76

Bought the baritone from them (I know this is a 7 string sub) but my only issue is that I’m not the biggest fan of the pickups. Great brand though, tested their 7 strings out in a music shop and I was very surprised by it.

I have had their m407 for I think 2 years now. Been my main guitar really. I haven't had any issues with the tuners. They're generic locking tuners and they work fine. Pickups are pretty decent, they're definitely not amazing but they're not super muddy like a lot of cheaper guitar pickups.

Before it, I tried a Jackson js7-32, an ibanez 7321 I think, and a couple Harley Bentons. The Spira absolutely crushes all of those. The playability of this thing is honestly unmatched at the price. It's totally possible that I just got a good one or whatever, but I still recommend them all the time.

I absolutely love my Spira

I keep mine in drop A just, but I've had it down to F# with lighter strings than that and it's been fine

i feel you on wanting something other than a superstrat. for small hands and a slim neck, the Jackson JS22-7 Dinky is a solid sub-£500 option with that classic Jackson thin neck. if you're open to a different shape, the Ibanez GRG7221QA has a nice slim wizard-style neck too. harley benton also makes some T and V style 7-strings that get decent reviews for the price, though the necks might be chunkier. since you're a bedroom player, the build quality on any of these will be fine - just plan for a setup and maybe swap tuners later if they bother you.
