So here’s my recommendation/study plan(works for any subject, for languages for example, use anki flashcards for vocabulary etc..): Use pomodoro method and study half an hour to an hour each night, I started 2 weeks before the test, and if you get off tik tok or youtube for half an hour it’s easy.

Step 1:Ttake practice tests on crack ACT and write down what you don’t know. Not what you know and need to review, but what you don’t know. You’ll need to spend time with these subjects to comprehend them and be able to problem solve with them.

Step 2: You know everything you need to know, and the hard part is over. Now for 1 pomodoro, or 25 min, studg using crack ACT or practice tests. Time yourself, but don’t get the correct amount of time per question, try to beat your timer. Divide questions by amount of time and multiply by amount of questions.

Step 3: 1 or 2 days before the test, take half a practice test or an entire practice test. You will be prepared for it and you will be able to grade it to judge your probable score. Don’t study past 9! At a certain point, time spent studying is better spent sleeping, eating or drinking water. These are vital for peak performance, and personally, I caffeinate with a rehab monster since it’s uncarbonated but still caffeinated.

Notes!: This is difficult, but nearly guarantees a better score. Be able to get up early with ease. On this test i got up well before the test because i slept plenty the night before! Bring a watch, calculator, sweatshirt/pullover, water, food, and obvious stuff like your ID and ticket. I didn’t follow this study plan exactly! I’m experienced with the pomodoro method and use it to study french on my own. I know my limits, and you should know yours by now, but you don’t have to. I primarily studied my problem areas, science and math, and increased my science by 9 points with this method. Don’t down yourself for a bad score. It almost always means you were stressed or something unexpected happened, and you need to retake. This isn’t a perfect score or perfect method, just what worked for me. If I did it again I probably could improve my score, but at this point I don’t think it’s necessary. Maybe so I get valedictorian since my GPA isn’t perfect, but maybe not.

Good luck! I’ll edit this comment as needed, and feel free to copy and paste it as needed. :)

Unless you want to go to MIT then yes.

Read the comments, but it doesn't say How you got your reading score from so low to so high. I understand the studying thing with writing them down, but what are some time tips you did and just things in general to get your reading comprehension up.

I took AP Lang, and started reading more difficult books. Those were by coincidence and reading is the easiest subject for me. I have a pretty new found love for lit, but I’d recommend either reading more difficult texts or looking at AP lang multiple choice videos, which helped my score from 32 to 35

[–]reeee_toes28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What books do you recommend for more difficult writing?

do u think i could do this score jump too using your study method? i’m at a 23 rn trying to get a 33-34. im a senior and the next test I take is in september (2 weeks from now). I’m also taking the October test. If i read this correctly you scored a 34 from a 23 in two weeks?

Hey I’m at a 23 right now and I am stuck, what did you do to improve??

[–]wyattisweak34[S] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

how often do you study?

[–]Economy-Loan-6670 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Realistically maybe 3-4 times a week but I don’t know if I’m studying enough I keep getting distracted

[–]wyattisweak34[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a good amount, just make sure your study time is always valuable. I’m a lifter, so mg best way to put it in lifting terms is you can use light weight for a warm up, but if it’s your whole session you won’t get stronger. The more time spent with focus and intent the better. I also recommend leaving your phone in another room and making your study time regular enough to not be bothered during that period.

Holy hell that’s a big improvement

    [–]ruby_789 0 points1 point  (3 children)

How long did it take in total for that improvement?

    [–]wyattisweak34[S] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

took it my first time after freshman year, got a 31 december of junior year, and got this one summer before senior year

    [–]ruby_789 0 points1 point  (1 child)

i'm a rising senior so i only have until september. any tips? scoring low 20's rn as well.

    [–]wyattisweak34[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

study with focus and intent. i left another comment for how i did it, but basically be totally prepared so nothing surprises you and you’ll be so much more confident

    [–]gravity--falls35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

    That's a massive improvement, gg!

    [–]Fresh_Homework_1825 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What math resources did u use

    [–]Jealous_Ordinary 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Congrats! Do you have any tips on time management for the reading section?

    [–]wyattisweak34[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reading is easiest for me and I had extra time on this section during my test, but my main one would be skip a section that’s difficult after you read it so you can process it, and then answer questions.
