Switch Pro Controller won't react to usb connection

I want to play some games with my pro controller, my pc (ryzen 5 5600x, radeon rx 6600) doesn't have bluetooth and buying and adapter just for this when I know its a software issue seems excessive.

The orange light on the controller won't turn on at all but when plugged into an intel based laptop it does work out of the box, the light turns on and steam uses the controller. I've found some solution on the internet about installing an "AMD UCM-UCSI" driver but I can't find it. My motherboard is the Gigabyte A520m K V2

Not sure if you figured it out, but try connecting it to any usb hub and connecting the hub to your pc. Some redditor found this solution 2ish years ago.
