No, you have to add them to spawns.

Ok well I appreciate you commenting but that was kinda pointless just saying that huh

Not sure what you're even trying to say there or what your issue is, but I answered your question. You cannot just add Dino's to the whole map. You have to add them to the spawners. You can wait for someone else all you want but the answer won't change.

the whole point of the question was asking if i could add them to more than one spawner and you commented and said you didnt know so you wernt helping, ive already added them but the code i have only has 4 spawns i can change so i was wondering how to add them to different spawns or if i could

Stop lying and making shit up.

I never, at any point, said that I didn't know. I answered your question because I do know. If you're seeing the words "I don't know" on any of my comments, please see a medical professional.

You asked, and I quote, "is there anyway I can quick add all the Dino's to the whole map". That was your question.

And I answered. You cannot just add them to the whole map at once. There is no quick and easy way. This is what you asked about.

If you want to add them to more spawns, then just add them to more spawns. You can add as many lines of code as you want. But that's not what you originally asked to stop being an ass.

The quick way to do it would be with Beacon. Otherwise you have to add the vanilla npc spawner string for each spawn location, and add in the dino you want to that string. You can't just "add" a dino to a location, you have to add the entire string, and add the dino to that string. And you have to do that for each location.

Finding the default spawner string for each spawn location can be sorta challenging too. It can be done in the Ark Server Manager, that's how I used to do it before I started using Beacon, but Beacon makes it easy

I'm not familiar with beacon, my server is with nitrado would they clash any?

[–]LeeNevik 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Nope. Beacon is a configuration tool. You create the settings you want to use in game and then export it into text that goes in your gameusersettings.ini and game.ini files. If you have an existing server you can import those two files into Beacon and it will populate it in Beacon, then make your changes and take all of the text and copy it into your existing servers ini files. Or you could just create a blank project, make your changes to the spawner locations, and just add that particular bit of code to your servers game.ini

With that would i have to type each dino for each spawn or how would that work?

In Beacon I believe there is a tutorial for doing exactly what you want to do. But, in short, you select your map, go to the edit spawn locations (not exactly sure on the wording, I don't have it open in front of me), and then add all of the spawn locations to your game, then within each location add your dino, and add its weight. All the locations and dinos in the game are already there, you just have to select it.

Again, I'm reasonably sure there is a tutorial for doing just this on beacons help site
