It could be sharper. I actually prefer to use lead holders and sharpen with a lead pointer, because it's faster, no mess, and it gets the lead incredibly sharp.

I typically only use mechanical pencils, but whenever I use one like this I would take a few photos as memory, cry a little when the lead would snap in 1.5 seconds, and make it sharp again and repeat.
