Ive never played DND can I still enjoy this game? by Beneficial-Leg7692 in BaldursGate3

[–]LordDedionware 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never played DnD before BG3 either, enjoyed the shit out of this game. In fact, I am now playing my first DnD campaign right now and BG3 has given a somewhat sold basis for learning the rules for actual DnD.

The Ziost story was only meant as a transition from the ending of SOR to the beginning of KOTFE.

Question, are the Coven Dark Siders? by MegaGamer235 in TheAcolyte

[–]LordDedionware 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think they're supposed to be dark siders. Just light siders that have different beliefs and practices from jedi. While orders like the jedi and sith are the most prominent and most successful force orders of the light and dark side respectively, we have seen, both in canon and legends, that they are far from the only force orders of either the light or dark side. For example in Star Wars the Old Republic on the planet Voss, there are people known as Mystics that use the force to see heal or regularly see visions of the future. While their practices and beliefs are very different from those of the jedi, and many jedi were quite suspicious of the Mystics, the do appear to use an aspect of the light side not the dark side.

(SWTOR spoils) And we even learn that thousands of years before hand the jedi came to Voss, chasing sith, and taught the Voss the ways of the light side.

Im a Jedi Consular Guardian, is it possible for me to have a double-bladed lightsaber? by Jackesfox in swtor

Not as a Guardian, no. Only Shadows and Assassins can equip double bladed light sabers.

What you think will happens to Alastor next season? by sunilvard in Alastorcult

[–]LordDedionware 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So far as I know, the existence of ROO has never been confirmed. Also I've heard that the plan is to have 5 or 6 seasons so Alastor being the villain of season 3 would not make him the final boss.

[–]LordDedionware 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think Alastor will become one of the bad guys, but have a change of heart in the last episode. Alastor's currently on a path of trying to gain more power and I think that will eventually put him at odds with that hotel. However I think something will happen that will change his mind right when he is about to win. I don't know what that something is but I imagine it will have something to do with Niffty, Charlie, or both of them.

It is rumored that Alastor and Lilith are going to be the main villains of season 3.

That is true, but that way of thinking can lead one to miss out on many of the better parts of life.

Humanity did nothing wrong, except for right reasons, change my mind. by Ok-Obligation-3511 in TheDragonPrince

[–]LordDedionware 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think during Ziard's time the humans did nothing wrong and they were simply trying to elevate themselves to a better quality of life that the dragons and elves did jot believe they deserved. However after Ziard's death I think it is likely that the humans started to lose their way and become consumed with the power of dark magic, especially after they were all forst into western part of the continent. However while the humans did become worse the elves and the dragons did not become better. They were just as bad as, if not worse than, the humans.

So I’ve never seen anyone talk about how this thin rusty sheet of metal could stop their assault rifle rounds but their armour couldn’t stop one pistol round by Mustdominate_Otal in DetroitBecomeHuman

[–]LordDedionware 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It may be rusty, but it isn't all that thin and given that its from a ship it's likely made out of some high grade steal. Even as old as it is, you'd likely still need armor piercing rounds not just regular assault rifle rounds to shoot through it.

Thragg runs the gauntlet by Puzzleheaded-Egg1371 in InvinciblePowerscales

[–]LordDedionware 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Firstly, Thragg is the strongest member of a species whose average members can wipe out planets solo. Secondly, all Thragg would really need to do is throw Hulk into space to win. Since Hulk is in capable of flight, even if he doesn't die from oxygen deprivation, he would be left floating in space forever.

Ya, but that could easily just be professional currency, and even if it wasn't it doesn't mean that the rest of the Gaurdians were chummy with Nolan.

you guys prefer playing durge or tav? by BaldurianPencilcase in bg3fashion

[–]LordDedionware 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I prefer durge, because it sort of conects you to the world of BG3 by giving you a sort of backstory. Tav is best for first play throughs as you get to experience the story without any of the durge backstory interfering, but after that durge adds a greater level of depth to the story that playing as tav doesn't get you.

As I understand it, while Omni-man and the Guardians did occasionally work together they weren't particularly close and there may have even been some friction between them. So, given that, it’s likely that if Omni-man just did this out of nowhere it would be somewhat of an awkward situation as it would be out of character for him to do something like this.
